1 Timothy 4:3 (KJV) Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth.
The Bible tells us that God created all things for us to receive with thanksgiving. We are to enjoy everything which God has made for our benefit. The Bible says that God saw everything which he has made that they were very good. There is nothing which God created which was not good. At the beginning, everything was good.
It was to the Israelites that God gave them a commandment that they should not eat some animals. The law of Moses referred to such animals as unclean. These animals included the pork and some others. It was for the children of Israel, when they were under the law.
When God gave Peter the revelation, he explained to him that that nothing was unclean. By that revelation, God has abolished the law which made the children of Israel not to eat meat like pork. So, in this new dispensation, we can eat any type of meat. Everything is clean. So, eating pork is not a sin or breaking of the law.
Acts 10:10-15 (KJV) And he became very hungry, and would have eaten: but while they made ready, he fell into a trance,
And saw heaven opened, and a certain vessel descending unto him, as it had been a great sheet knit at the four corners, and let down to the earth:
Wherein were all manner of fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
And there came a voice to him, Rise, Peter; kill, and eat.
But Peter said, Not so, Lord; for I have never eaten any thing that is common or unclean.
And the voice spake unto him again the second time, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
