Hello, dear #needleworkmonday artisan entrepreneurs, after a while away from this community, today I found these photos of a craft I made a few months ago, but because of its intended use, I thought it would be ideal to share.
I've already told you, but in case you don't remember, I write poetry and have a literary gathering twice a month at the main bookstore in my city.
Crochet is my main hobby, so I make pieces using the amigurumi technique and give them to my guests at the event.
The one I'm showing you is a doll with Asian features. As you can see in the images, it's reversible, and I wanted it to have that touch because the person it was intended for is of Chinese descent.
I used cotton threads in various shades. White for the simulated bouquet wrapping, the flowers and dress in cool tones of purple and lilac, and green and black for other details of the project.
The piece is now owned by poet and storyteller Liannet Cheong Sarmiento. She also holds a PhD in languages, is a professor at the University of Camagüey, and is a member of the literary group La Rueda Dentada of the Nicolás Guillén Foundation in her province.
These pieces are more than just craftsmanship; with them, I intend to leave my personal mark and, above all, my admiration, love, and respect for these talented people who have responded to the invitation to join my space.

tiempo sin llegar por esta comunidad hoy encontré estás fotos de una manualidad que realicé hace unos meses pero que por el objeto de uso creí ideal compartir .
Ya les he dicho,pero por si no lo recuerdan, escribo poesía y tengo, dos veces al mes, una peña Literaria en la librería principal de mi ciudad.
El crochet es mi hobby principal por lo que confecciono piezas con la técnica del amigurumi y las regalo a mis invitados al espacio.
Está que les muestro es una muñeca con rasgos asiáticos, como pueden ver en las imágenes, es reversible y quise que llevará ese toque porque a quien estaba destinada es descendiente de China.
Emplee hilos de algodón en tonos variados. Blanco para el simulado de envoltura del ramo, las flores y el vestido en tonos fríos de morado y lila, verde y negro para otros detalles de la labor.
La pieza, hoy, es propiedad de la poeta y narradora Liannet Cheong Sarmiento,es además doctora en lenguas,profesora de la Universidad de Camagüey y miembro del grupo Literario La Rueda Dentada de la Fundación Nicolás Guillén de su provincia.
Estás piezas son algo más que artesanía, pues pretendo con ellas dejar mi sello personal y sobre todo mi admiración, amor y respeto a estás talentosas personas que corresponden a la invitación de llegar a mi espacio.
