Getting caught up in the constant rush of everyday life is very easy. And it's very easy for time to slip away even before we know it, one moment we're up the other moment the day is gone, so much noise, doom scrolling, unfinished to-do list. It's common for me to have these days and most times end up asking: What did I really enjoy today?

This question I ask myself enables me to look into my life, my routine and it helps me to practice slow living in small but practical ways.

Slow living doesn't mean I deprive myself of luxury or me moving to the countryside without modern facilities. I believe it's about creating space for peace, calmness and less pressure.

I like to start my early mornings quietly with no rush. Open up the windows to feel and breath the early morning fresh air. I love to listen to the beautiful sounds of nature birds and feel the nature around me. Indeed, peace is not something that is far-fetched, it is already within us and we just have to see it and embrace it.

Also I find a kind of stillness when I create something with my hands, like when I sew or recycle. In these moments, I don't think about things that are not yet done, I try to be present in the things being done. I'm just there creating something beautiful and that just gives me a whole lot of satisfaction.

On some weekends I try to stay off my phone and social media for a few hours, though it's mostly not easy because of habit, but I have been facing it. The digital silences give me time to reconnect with myself and with the little things I often overlook.
And sometimes even watching the sunset or folding laundry slowly has been really meaningful to me. So much peace can indeed come from the simplest actions if we're truly present.

If you're a person who feels really overwhelmed by the rush of everyday life, maybe this is a sign for you to pause , take a deep breath and enjoy something simple today.

You don't need to travel far or somewhere new, you don't need anything special to feel peace, sometimes it's just about letting the mind rest and remembering that you mustn't do everything at once.

Slow living doesn't mean doing less, it jsut means being present for the things that truly matters.

Calmness is built from within. Try to make time for peace everyday, always show gratitude and contentment and also try to connect with nature and the world around us.

Life is too beautiful to be rushed through!
