Cycling Community Weekly Milage Update : "Very Low Miles"!

in Cycling9 days ago

Hello there Friends, Happy Monday evening - and thank you for your visit!

This is my weekly milage update #72 in the #cycling community. This week it was a very, very low milage week. Storms and appointments!

However the "Good News" is, I have decided to replace the Black bike with a new one! So after all this time - I bought it new in 2010 and all the miles 11,500+ it's being retired. It would cost $100 to replace the rear wheel, another $310.00 (plus shipping) for a new battery. And then comes the fact that if you go that far, might as well replace the chain, and the crank bearings and stem bearings are worn too - not to mention the fork. At that point, a new bike makes more sense so it will happen this week. I hope it gets delivered before next Monday!
So last week,
The Black bike:

This Monday at 1079.5 miles / 1737.28 kilometers

An increase of,
0.0 miles / 0.0 kilometers,
At this point, all numbers are only for "bookmarking" purposes - till end of year.

And,

The Green bike:

This Monday at 260.31 miles / 418.92 kilometers

An increase of,
1.63 miles / 2.62 kilometers,
As low as last week was, this is even lower!

So this puts the weekly total for "both bikes" at 1.63 miles / 2.62 kilometers (total) for the week overall.

This puts the total for 2025 is currently at,
1339.81 miles / 2156.21 kilometers so far this year!
Well, still beating last year - "by a lot"!
And that was it for last week,
Until then, and..
I want to thank you again for your visit, and have a Blessed upcoming week!

Did you know that @stresskiller is also a witness now ?

Oh, but you’ve had it for quite a long time. I imagine you must have made many repairs over the years… Still, I feel you’re convinced that replacing it is the better option. Congratulations, @lesmann.
