The Aquarium | A Mixed Media Project

In a place hidden from mediocre minds amidst the unknown, The Aquarium exists. A place where the ordinary dare not venture; lost worlds collide; matter transforms into unknown substances; and life emerges from nothingness. A place where fascinating explorations into the world of obscure science are conducted. A place where mankind is transformed into other worldly beings.

A place where the term "mad scientist" is affixed to and worn with a badge of honor by all who dare accept the challenge and become part of the future.

Helios once dreamed of such a place. His dream came true when he was invited to participate.

Far underground in a constructed secure apparatus where no man could follow, there sat a high-tech storage facility designed for all intent and purposes a bunker to protect humans from annihilation. Long abandoned, scientists approached architects who agreed to transform the facility into a research laboratory.

Work began in the year 2075. A twenty year project, the facility remained secret; only known by a handful of forward-thinking scientists.

Formulas not known to the generally accepted scientific world decorated walls, resembling graffiti from eras past.

At the center of the lab, a fifty-foot island resembling a robotic workshop, held rows of small, clear vats and pods resembling antique cages. Inside each, filled to the brim were substances that bubbled over. Acrid smells penetrated the masks and partially filled the nostrils of the technicians. Cooking to perfection, human-like subjects in their infancy swirled in the liquids.

Pulsating white, green, and blue lights rotated as though circulating to filter air.

One glance at the entirety of the laboratory, and one would conclude that the spaceships overhead were the true conductors in this space where a blend of insanity and futuristic uncertainty partnered in the future downfall of humanity.

Years after molding humanoid and aquatic matter, the perfect creature from the deep arose.

For my current mixed media art project, I wanted to create an underwater creature from various stable diffusion elements. Calling upon StarryAI, I was able to draw from several themes and combine them into one monster. For the aquarium, this image was one derived from my description of simply a giant aquarium.

Below are my steps:

Text input:
"Giant aquarium."

Style: Ethereal Chromatica

Result:

Text Input:
"Defragmentation in the form of a an ancient evil whose body is crystals and torn in all directions.. red eyes. Hideous dark form of jagged edges that can't come together with a but bold quality."

Style: High Energy Low Standards

Result:

I also retrieved the following images from StarryAI of a series of squid.

Other images I included in my design. One image was my pure fractal I created in the advanced fractal rendering program, Apophysis 7X.

I utilized Canva, my design program, to blend the different type images. I leave with you my procedures which began with a blank, white canvas. I then add layers of elements.

A thumbs up from you meant I did good. Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your signature of my design. I appreciate it and your support. Take care and have a wonderful rest of your week.

The story is fascinating, and I especially liked that the term “mad scientist” was a badge of honour! And then the creation of the perfect creature... what a colourful and harmonious design, where the human and the marine intermingle. It's brilliant!😍

Yes, I liked the colorful design of the research facility. Unlike the usual stark white or gray medicinal space. Their purpose after all is to hide their intentions. The but ceiling resembles a fleet of spaceships about to invade, lolol. Perhaps it's to lighten the "mad" scientists' mood while they work to create the future.

I appreciate your visit and insight into my creation. Thanks so much for your analysis, which is always on point. Take care and have a nice rest of your week.

Thank you to you! I really enjoy seeing your insights through art.

Surreal and beautiful collage @justclickindiva
