PWR staking was added a few months ago. Basically, PWR became a mining token and it is another way new PWR gets minted. Gives people an option to grow without having to be in the LP.
APR looks to be roughly 15%, but hard to tell. Some people with stake could answer better but the HE explorer is useless these days to track mining rewards for stuff, unless I'm missing something.

Long story short. staking PWR gives you more PWR (it's now a mining token like other hive engine tokens, main diff is that PWR is the mining and the reward token at the same time).
I like a ''better token'' rather than functionalities spread in many different tokens.
Current APR is 17,57% with ~37K PWR staked overall (10K from mine).
Idea is to offer an alternative but logically I want it to be less rewarding Vs LP's.
what else.. yes. Staking rewards currently come from new inflation, which at current numbers add like a 5-6% annual inflation. Nothing worrying, as I'll change the numbers IF I see it becoming a bit too unsustainable.
Btw the upper picture comes from a little website which I'm building in my spare times (did I said that I'm studying to become a dev?).
