Henry David Thoreau puts it that an early morning walk is a blessing for the whole day, and it is! That's what I'm discovering anyway, as I'm making it a habit to take a wee stroll, even for just a short while outside our lil abode.
Yesterday, I dashed out in my baggy clothes and strolled beyond the yard to the pepper farm. Weeds have grown on the un-mulched areas, but I was rather fascinated by the little and big shadows on the ground.

The pepper plants cast theirs, too! Snapped a few and quickly turned my back toward the house. I didn't wish to disturb the plants from their sunbathing session, lol! They need to bloom and start fruiting since all of their recent ones were discarded after being infested by nasty insects.
Anyway, I quite like their shadows on the mulch.

Getting past the house, I walked further down to the street below, but changed my mind and traced my steps back through the driveway, where I noticed a big woman's shadow. Aah, I should take photos of that too! So clicked. Clicked. She does need regular morning walks😅

Magically, she appeared trimmed down (in her shadows, that is) when she rested behind the parked car.😁

Oh well, shadows aren't as they appear to be. They are dynamic maps of light that frequently deceive our perception. They are not simply cutouts of things that cast them. They can be exaggerated or distorted, and can change shape and size, or even disappear when the light source moves.
A few steps further, I found yet another shadow and a reflection too!

Then I went back to the house where a LilGuy was patiently waiting behind the screen door. My bad. I have forgotten to fill his bowl before heading out😊
(This, by the way, is a non-contest participation in the SMASh initiative. It's just me rambling and sharing my hunts).
