@nancybriti1 es una hiver con una gran trayectoria literaria en la blockchain, hemos disfrutado sus poemas, narraciones y crónicas, tal como si fueran parte de nuestra cotidianidad. Sus vivencias y anécdotas han trascendido a través de sus posts, dejando constancia de una voz que transmite emociones y sentimientos con gran pasión.
Es un placer dedicarle este espacio, realizarle esta entrevista para conocer en profundidad sus experiencias, triunfos y tropiezos dentro de esta colmena. Constante, organizada y perseverante, Nancy ha demostrado que en Hive se puede destacar en varios ámbitos ya que, además de escritora profesional, es moderadora de la comunidad Literatos y participa en otras como Self Magazine y Holos Lotus.

1. Cuéntanos un poco de ti. ¿Quién eres fuera de la pantalla de Hive? (Profesión, hobbies, de dónde eres, etc.)
Mi nombre completo es Nancy Brito Díaz, nací y he vivido mis 52 años en Cumaná, la capital del estado Sucre, un lugar bordeado por mares y montañas. Soy profesora universitaria con más de 25 años de experiencia. No soy casada ni tengo hijos, pero tengo unos sobrinos hermosos a quienes amo con toda mi vida. Me encanta la playa, salir con amigos, viajar y aprovechar cada instante de alegría. Me gusta leer y escribir cuentos y poemas, también he escrito ensayos y obras de teatro. Se podría decir que soy extrovertida, pero me cuesta hacer amistades. Creo en Dios, en la reencarnación y en el destino. Creo que para que tú estuvieras leyendo este texto mío, como diría el gran poeta venezolano, Eugenio Montejo:
La tierra giró para acercarnos,
giró sobre sí misma y en nosotros,
hasta juntarnos por fin en este sueño…
2. ¿Cómo llegaste a Hive y cuál fue tu primera impresión?
Llegué gracias a una gran amiga, Adriana Cabrera, @adncabrera, en el año 2018, quien me habló de las bondades de esta plataforma. Recuerdo que en ese momento era muy poco lo que se sabía de las criptomonedas y era un universo al que nos asomábamos no solo con curiosidad, también con muchas expectativas. En esa época, Venezuela vivía una gran crisis económica y recibir recompensas por lo que escribía fue un salvavidas en mitad del océano. Sin ser exagerada: podía comer gracias a mis textos. Eso hizo que viera esta oportunidad como un trabajo en el que debía esforzarme, dedicarme, perfeccionarme y así lo hice.
3. ¿Cuál es la diferencia más grande que ves entre las redes sociales convencionales (como Facebook, Instagram, tik tok, etc) y las redes sociales que hay dentro de Hive?
Creo que HIVE, como otras redes, permite mostrar nuestros talentos, pero el hecho de que recibamos recompensas por eso, me parece único. Tal vez ahora las otras redes tengan formas de monetizar el contenido que tú hagas, pero no es tan simple o abierto como lo es aquí en Hive. Sin mencionar que Hive es una “casa” abierta en la que generalmente sabemos qué está pasando y siempre hay alguien dispuesto a ayudarnos.
4. Si tuvieras que definir Hive en una sola frase, ¿cuál sería?
Una casa en la que cada quien tiene su propia llave.
5. ¿En qué comunidades sueles publicar o interactuar con mayor frecuencia y por qué?
Debo reconocer que soy una chica de rutina, por lo que intento publicar cada día en una comunidad diferente. Me gusta la gente de @literatos, @la-colmena y @celf, donde he podido publicar mis textos literarios; si quiero expresar mi opinión, mis sentimientos, mis inquietudes, mi experiencia, utilizo las comunidades de @holos-lotus, @silverblogger, @minimalist, @beer y @music si la idea es hablar de mis gustos musicales.
6. ¿Cuál ha sido tu mayor logro o la experiencia más gratificante que has tenido en Hive hasta ahora?
Volver a comenzar desde cero. Por mala suerte o por esas lecciones que debemos aprender, perdí mi primera cuenta, me la robaron, fue hackeada. Todo el trabajo hecho y todo el dinero acumulado desapareció por arte de magia. Al principio estaba negada a abrir otra cuenta porque existía, en mí, el temor de perderla nuevamente, pero luego, por recomendaciones de amigos, a los que agradezco todavía el apoyo, volví. Obviamente comencé como el niño que mientras está aprendiendo a caminar se cae, es decir, con miedo, pero también con el apoyo de otras personas que con un simple: “Tú puedes, no te des por vencida”, me aupaban a seguir. Ahora que lo veo: esta segunda vez no comencé desde cero: tenía grandes amigos y eso vale por mil.
7. ¿Qué fue lo más difícil de aprender en tus inicios?
Los comandos. Crear un texto y que saliera tal cual lo había hecho (las fotografías, el texto), se convirtió en mi montaña personal. Recuerdo que un grupo de personas nos pusimos de acuerdo y recibimos un entrenamiento. Luego de eso, fue pan comido.
8. ¿Cómo describirías tu visión a futuro dentro del ecosistema de Hive?
Optimista. Hive es un lugar en el que puedes perfeccionar tus talentos. Entre mis planes está recopilar todas las narraciones que he hecho aquí, limpiarlas, seleccionarlas y hacer con ellas un libro, de hecho, ya hay alguien interesado en publicarlo. También pienso hacer eso con mis poemas. Tú te imaginas que todos los que hacen trabajo creativo utilizaran a Hive no solo como una plataforma para hacer, también para promocionar, recopilar. Sería genial porque HIVE es una vitrina de excelentes escritores, por ejemplo.
9. ¿Qué consejo le darías a un hiver que apenas está comenzando?
Que tenga paciencia, que trabaje, que se esfuerce, que no pierda la esperanza ni se desanime si al comienzo sus posts no son reconocidos: votados, leídos o comentados. Que cada día haga su trabajo con el mismo esmero y la misma pasión del primer día, y que no se acerque a Hive solo para generar dinero, porque si este es su único propósito puede decepcionarse fácilmente si sus posts no reciben apoyo o la moneda pierde valor, como ocurre en este momento.
10. Si quieres explicarle Hive a un familiar o amigo, para que se una a la plataforma, ¿qué le dirías para convencerlo?
Que aquí puede tener la oportunidad de demostrar sus habilidades y talentos, que puede conocer personas de todo el mundo, que puede hacer amigos, que, si hace bien su trabajo, le puede ir muy bien y eso más que generarle una ganancia económica, le va a dar una satisfacción enorme, de esas que solo se obtienen cuando se hacen bien las cosas.
11. Para finalizar, ¿Has tenido alguna experiencia directa con Hispapro? Si es así, ¿qué tal ha sido?
Directa no. Participé por mucho tiempo en los concursos literarios que hacía Hispapro, que, por cierto, deberían activarse nuevamente. También he tenido contacto a través del celular o discord con @yonnathang, el cual me ha orientado y ha apoyado en muchos asuntos referidos a Hive. Es un ángel y le agradezco mucho su paciencia, disposición, orientación y amabilidad. Saludos para él por aquí.

1. Tell us a little about yourself. Who are you outside of Hive? (Profession, hobbies, where you’re from, etc.)
My full name is Nancy Brito Díaz. I was born and have lived all 52 of my years in Cumaná, the capital of Sucre State, a place surrounded by the sea and mountains. I’m a university professor with over 25 years of experience. I’m not married and I don’t have children, but I have some beautiful nieces and nephews whom I love with all my heart. I love the beach, going out with friends, traveling, and making the most of every moment of joy. I like to read and write stories and poems; I’ve also written essays and plays. You could say I’m an extrovert, but I have a hard time making friends. I believe in God, in reincarnation, and in destiny. I believe that for you to be reading this text of mine, as the great Venezuelan poet Eugenio Montejo would say:
The earth turned to bring us closer,
it turned on itself and within us,
until we were finally brought together in this dream…
2. How did you discover Hive, and what was your first impression?
I discovered it thanks to a great friend, Adriana Cabrera, @adncabrera, in 2018, who told me about the benefits of this platform. I remember that at the time, very little was known about cryptocurrencies, and it was a world we were peering into not only with curiosity but also with high expectations. Back then, Venezuela was in the midst of a major economic crisis, and receiving rewards for what I wrote was a lifeline in the middle of the ocean. Without exaggerating: I was able to eat thanks to my writing. That made me see this opportunity as a job where I had to work hard, dedicate myself, and improve my skills—and that’s exactly what I did.
3. What is the biggest difference you see between conventional social media (like Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, etc.) and the social media platforms within Hive?
I think Hive, like other platforms, lets us showcase our talents, but the fact that we get rewarded for it strikes me as unique. Maybe other platforms now have ways to monetize the content you create, but it’s not as simple or open as it is here on Hive. Not to mention that Hive is an open “home” where we generally know what’s going on and there’s always someone willing to help us.
4. If you had to define Hive in a single sentence, what would it be?
A home where everyone has their own key.
5. In which communities do you usually post or interact most frequently, and why?
I have to admit I’m a creature of habit, so I try to post every day in a different community. I like the people at @literatos, @la-colmena, and @celf, where I’ve been able to post my literary texts; if I want to express my opinion, my feelings, my concerns, or my experiences, I use the communities @holos-lotus, @silverblogger, @minimalist, @beer, and @music if the idea is to talk about my musical tastes.
6. What has been your greatest achievement or most rewarding experience on Hive so far?
Starting over from scratch. Whether due to bad luck or those lessons we have to learn, I lost my first account—it was stolen, it was hacked. All the work I’d done and all the money I’d saved up vanished into thin air. At first, I was reluctant to open another account because I was afraid of losing it again, but then, on the recommendation of friends—whom I still thank for their support—I came back. Obviously, I started out like a child learning to walk who keeps falling—that is, scared—but also with the support of others who, with a simple, “You can do it, don’t give up,” encouraged me to keep going. Now that I look back: this second time, I didn’t start from scratch—I had great friends, and that’s worth a thousand.
7. What was the hardest thing to learn when you first started?
The commands. Creating a layout and having it come out exactly as I’d intended (the photos, the text)—that became my personal mountain to climb. I remember a group of us got together and took a training course. After that, it was a piece of cake.
8. How would you describe your vision for the future within the Hive ecosystem?
Optimistic. Hive is a place where you can hone your talents. Among my plans is to compile all the stories I’ve written here, polish them, curate them, and turn them into a book—in fact, there’s already someone interested in publishing it. I also plan to do the same with my poems. Imagine if everyone doing creative work used Hive not only as a platform to create, but also to promote and compile their work. That would be great because Hive is a showcase for excellent writers, for example.
9. What advice would you give to a Hiver who is just starting out?
Be patient, work hard, give it your all, and don’t lose hope or get discouraged if your posts aren’t recognized at first—whether through upvotes, reads, or comments. They should do their work every day with the same care and passion as on the first day, and they shouldn’t approach Hive solely to make money, because if that’s their only purpose, they can easily become disappointed if their posts don’t receive support or the currency loses value, as is happening right now.
10. If you wanted to explain Hive to a family member or friend to get them to join the platform, what would you say to convince them?
That here they’ll have the chance to showcase their skills and talents, meet people from all over the world, make friends, and that if they do their job well, they can do very well for themselves—and that, more than just generating financial gain, will give them enormous satisfaction, the kind you only get when you do things right.
11. Finally, have you had any direct experience with Hispapro? If so, how was it?
Not directly. I participated for a long time in the literary contests organized by Hispapro, which, by the way, should be revived. I’ve also been in touch via cell phone or Discord with @yonnathang, who has guided and supported me on many matters related to Hive. He’s an angel, and I’m very grateful for his patience, willingness to help, guidance, and kindness. Greetings to him here.
