Hello all Hive People & Splinterlands lovers,
I always appreciate the Splinterlands development team for introducing the new rule set, new abilities and new cards in the game which give the game new life and fil the community with excitement. The recent change in the Battle UI is one such update which make the selection more easy and also more compatible with the mobile screen. Imagine a situation where a player is battling form the mobile, and struggling to find the card of his interest form his collection as the mobile screen is not enough to show all the cards at once. The player need to move the screen up and down to find the suitable card of his choice. But the new filter make the life easy and that is the reason I used the word more compatible for mobile. their is not other thought to say that Splinterlands is the best game on Hive blockchain.
The new Survival mode is already in action. I have not explored the Survival ode but played a few games, and one thing is clear that if you want to be survive in the Survival mode you have to win the battle. If you lost the battle, the cards you used will be on cooldown period and players will not be able to play with those cards in any mode and also not bale to use the same on lands till the time they are in cool down period. This is one of the key change in the game mechanism. The rarity and foil play a important role in deciding the cooldown period and Gold foil has the less (half) cooldown period as compare to the normal foil. I guess this will give more value to the gold foil cards in the market. I do not know if the team has the plan to use the SPS or the DEC burn to reduce the cooldown period of the cards, this will give the the DEC / SPS token a another use case and burning mechanism also help in reducing the overall supply of the token.
Game progress
I am battling in the Gold II league at present and hopefully will be unlock the Diamond league by the end of the season as still we have more then a week time for season end. Last season was average as I earned 138,399 glint tokens only (which were below the average I earned each season, the number includes the ranked play rewards and the season end rewards both. I spent 137000 Glint token and purchased the 137 Major Draws. Normally I open 150 Major Draws each season but this time the Glint token were not sufficient to make the purchase. In current season I can purchased 13 more major draws with same price as I have not crossed the base price limit. After 150 Major draw purchase the price of draw increased so its better to make purchase every season if you want to spend the Glints on Draws only. I have not shared the outcome of draws with the community till now so its time so show what I pulled.
I am battling in the Gold II league now (please see the above screenshot). Only 100 more rating points are required to unlock the next league i.e Gold I League. The Glint boost is at 11.2x and with each winning battle I am getting the 321 Glints. The staked SPS and the Guild boost are also considered in same.
Here are the screenshot of cards received form the Major chest.
From 137 chests, I received 159 cards, 203 potions, 30energy, and 20153 merits. Getting 159 cards out of 137 draws is not too good but also not too bad deal. I already has the sufficient Merits to make purchase 100 Packs but I am accumulating the more Merits to purchase the Stone also along with the Gladius packs.
