Children are a precious gift from God to parents, a blank slate that requires nurturing and attention that is why it takes two adults to make children, at this tender stage they need lots of love and attention to grow into responsible adults in society tomorrow, but sadly not all children gets to receive lots of love, attention and the right nurture they need at such tender stage.
We live in a world where circumstances that were seen as taboo are now being inflicted on children, there are pedophiles, inattentive parents or guardians, wicked stepmoms or relatives who derive joy from inflicting pain on children, and there are also parents who can barely afford to take care of themselves bearing children without control and leaving them to fate to tend for themselves at the age where they supposed to be taken care of instead, for this reason child support service were put in place to lookout for children who are not given the deserving rights of a child, when discovered, they are taken away from such toxic environment, whatever the case and raised by the government.
Child support services in advanced countries are fully committed to what they do, but the reverse is the case here, that is why a lot of children in my country no doubt regret being born here, it is not uncommon to see a five-year-old child hawking on the street even during school hours, one begins to wonder why children are being used to fend for the family at such a tender age.
I've also witnessed a case where a 3-year-old boy was maltreated by his stepmom on one of my visits to a client's location, I was mad to see the way he was being whipped by the so-called stepmom because he wet the bed, there were fresh and old bruises on his body which shows this was a regular act, the more annoying case was that no one cared to report this woman, while some felt its none of their business since they were not families, for others they couldn't care less because there was little or nothing the authorities would do to the woman, as the one time someone was brave enough to report her, she was released on bail the same day and the evil act of hers continued and even worst than before.
I couldn't concentrate the whole of that day because truly child service isn't functional here and seeing that little child go through such ill-treatment in his father's house made my heart ache, in such a case it would have been better to have the little child separated from such wicked parents and it won't be going too far as most parents are not worth being called one, rather than bring a child to the world to punish him or her, why not give them up for adoption, as there are a lots of couples out there who would take better care of that child. Child support services are in a better position to fish those families out.
The only case where it would be unfair to separate a child from the parent or guardian is a case where that child is being looked after well, and probably the parent had a financial setback due to job loss or temporary health issues, instead, assistance should rather be given to them to help them up back on their feet
In conclusion, it's that important our society prioritizes the welfare and protection of children's rights, speak up when we see a child being maltreated, the government should ensure that child support services are functional and effective in identifying and rescuing those children trapped in toxic environments. Every child deserves love, care, and nurturing, and it's our collective responsibility to create a safe and supportive world for them.
