The other day I was with a friend talking about cryptocurrencies. Now people are starting to talk about this. Before, they looked at me like I was completely crazy. So, I must have read one of those apocalyptic articles that appear in traditional newspapers talking about cryptocurrencies and their serious problems for humanity.
It focused on stablecoins and their exaggerated volume. That if they suffered a catastrophic event, the world would go to shit. And that states would ban or censor them, as the European Union is already doing with some that don't meet its strict criteria.
Doom-mongering has always amused me since I was little, which is why the idea that the world would go to shit was especially funny. The world has gone to shit so many times since I was born that I've lost count. I'm not very smart, and although I've been in the crypto market for years, I don't know much either, so I just asked a question.
