Всем привет! Hello everyone! Нашла у себя фотографии красивой величественной птицы из Московского зоопарка. I found photos of a beautiful majestic bird from the Moscow Zoo. Фотографии сделаны в сентябре 2020 года. В отдельном вольере на массивном насесте восседал вот этот красавец. The photos were taken in September 2020. In a separate enclosure, this handsome man was sitting on a massive perch.

Это беркут (лат. Aquila chrysaetos) – крупная хищная птица семейства ястребиных, самая крупная из орлов.	This is a golden eagle (lat. Aquila chrysaetos) - a large bird of prey of the hawk family, the largest of the eagles.
Беркуты очень широко распространены, водятся на разных континентах, но при этом встречается в природе редко. В России внесены в Красную книгу.	Golden eagles are very widespread, they live on different continents, but they are rarely found in nature. In Russia, they are listed in the Red Book.
Беркуты впечатляли людей своей красотой, размером, величественностью. Поэтому они встречаются на флагах и гербах. Часто были тотемным животным у североамериканских индейцев.	Golden eagles impressed people with their beauty, size, majesty. That is why they are found on flags and coats of arms. They were often a totem animal for North American Indians.
Но, к сожалению, они начали исчезать из-за деятельности человека. Их истребляли целенаправленно из-за страха и предрассудков, полагая, что они уничтожают молодняк сельскохозяйственных животных. Так, в Америке в 40-60-е годы уничтожили 20 тысяч этих орлов. Когда поля начали активно обрабатывать пестицидами от грызунов, это сказалось и на птицах, поедающих этих грызунов. Скорлупа яиц становилась слишком тонкой, чтобы высидеть птенцов. Много птиц гибнет на проводах высоковольтных линий и от лопастей ветряков.	But, unfortunately, they began to disappear due to human activity. They were deliberately exterminated due to fear and prejudice, believing that they destroy young farm animals. Thus, in America in the 40-60s, 20 thousand of these eagles were destroyed. When fields began to be actively treated with pesticides against rodents, this also affected the birds that ate these rodents. The egg shells became too thin to hatch chicks. Many birds die on high-voltage power lines and from wind turbine blades.
Сейчас принимаются меры по охране этих птиц.	Now measures are being taken to protect these birds.

В ежедневный рацион беркутов в зоопарке входит 600 г мяса и 1 крыса.	The daily diet of golden eagles in the zoo includes 600 g of meat and 1 rat.
Я сфотографировала стенд с информацией о беркуте.	I took a photo of the stand with information about the golden eagle.
