The rapid rise of AI chatbots and virtual assistants has ushered us into a new era of AI dependency. For all intents and purposes the effects of this relatively new phenomenon will not be completely understood till the passage of considerable time. More than ever, we are delegating a ton of the creative process to AI. Depending on how you see it, this might be a source of concern.

While no doubt the AI assisted revolution will no doubt be highly beneficial to our technological advancement as a race, there are quite a number of ethical concerns which have developed rapidly since its rise, and has yet to be fully addressed. See while the technology itself may foster easier learning, it also helps the sinister among us to completely bypass the learning process and produce results we have little knowledge of.

Thinking is Dead?

We have instances of this already. In the Education space, Many Students use AI chatbots to cheat on examinations, tests and assignments rather than learning from them. The media space is perhaps the most affected. The concept of shared earnings for content creation and engagement has only made it worse. While AI does make some rather interesting content, I certainly won't want a social media space dominated by AI generated content and opinions.

It is for this reason I believe there is hope for authenticity and Human generated content. Granted, it might be the minority in a few years, but there are many people like me who would rather see an imperfect but authentic content than something the AI assistant perfectly renders.

Conclusion

Hive is a prime example. The community is staunchly against the use of AI generated content as posts and we can all agree it's the right action to take. AI won't go away but I can still see Hive as a content platform alongside it five years from now.
