God is always interested in every aspect of our lives, even our well-being. If Jesus wasn't interested in our physical wellness He wouldn't have gone about healing those who were afflicted with sickness and diseases. Our spiritual connection with God should not prevent us from taking care of ourselves and our health. Our bodies should be treated with care but within it is where our spirit dwells.
The same way we take care of the house that we dwell in should be the same way that we take care of our bodies where our spirit dwells in. Even when God rains down His blessings upon us it will take someone that is in good health to enjoy it to the maximum. Certain ways we can attain good health is by regular exercising and good nutrition.
It will also interest us to know that some spiritual exercises such as staying away from food for some period of time can contribute to good health.
Daniel 1:15 KJV[15] And at the end of ten days their countenances appeared fairer and fatter in flesh than all the children which did eat the portion of the king's meat.
Apart from scriptural references, science also has it that staying away from food, otherwise known as fasting, for some period of time improves our health in that it helps flush out some toxic substances that may be contained in the foods that we take in out of our system. Our health is one thing we should endeavor to take seriously.
