It's a pleasure to participate in this initiative #233.
I'll start by saying: genetics is incredible.
This is a topic I love because of how complex it is, which makes it very interesting. I do have some traits, or rather habits, or customs that I adopted from my grandmother.
It goes without saying how much I admire, love, and miss her. Just remind you that she raised me alone from the time I was 6. She was both a mother and a father to me.
The most interesting thing of all is that I unconsciously adopted these habits; and not just me, but my children, too. I recently realized that my grandmother's sisters, too.
One of these identifying traits, adopted from my grandmother, is a peculiar way of interlacing her fingers over her breasts. Resting on them. This position is incredibly comfortable, and I've sometimes walked down the street like this.
And not just when walking or standing waiting, I also adopt this position when I'm lying down watching television or simply sleeping.
This identifying trait was not fully adopted by my children. Perhaps because they are boys and don't have breasts.
They only adopt this position sometimes when they are sleeping.
However, there is a second trait also from my grandmother: the habit of sleeping completely covered and with one knee raised.
This is a habit my children also adopted from me, and of course from their grandmother, although I don't think they ever saw her sleeping that way.
The funny thing is that I never realized I had adopted these habits or characteristic traits from my grandmother until I saw them reflected in my children. Only then did I begin to remember my grandmother a little, and I began to pay more attention to what other identifying traits we've inadvertently incorporated into our lives.
And there are quite a few. In this random photo alone, there are two more.
However, these are two that come to mind now, as they were the first and the most curious.
Curious because, yes, perhaps I have observed my grandmother when she slept or when she adopted that relaxed position with her hands on her breasts.
Perhaps my children saw me do it and unconsciously adopted this trait.
But why? How? Why, of all the things I do, have they copied precisely these two that belong to my grandmother?
I'm not really interested. When I see them, I remember her and I'm happy.

Es un placer participar en esta iniciativa #233.
Comienzo expresando que: la genética es increíble.
Este es un tema que me encanta por lo complejo que es, lo que lo hace muy interesante. Sí tengo algunos rasgos o mejor dicho hábitos o costumbres adoptadas de mi abuelita.
De más está explicar cuánto la admiro, quiero y extraño. Solo con recordarles que ella me crió solita desde que cumplí los 6 años de vida. Ella fue madre y padre para mí.
Lo más interesante de todo es que estos hábitos los adopté inconscientemente; y no solo yo también mis hijos y recientemente constaté que también mis tías las hermanas de mi abuela.
Uno de estos rasgos identitarios adoptados de mi abuela, es una forma peculiar de entrelazar los dedos de las manos sobre los senos. Apoyadas en ellos. Esa posición es increíblemente cómoda y a veces me ha ido caminando por la calle de esa manera.
Y no solo al caminar o estarte de pie esperando, también adopto esa posición ha de estar acostada viendo televisión o sencillamente durmiendo.
Este rasgo identitario no fue adoptado completamente por mis hijos. Quizás por el hecho de que son varones y no tienen senos.
Solo adoptan esa posición a veces cuando duermen.
Sin embargo hay un segundo rasgo también de mi abuela que es la costumbre de dormir completamente cubierta y con una rodilla levantada.
Esta sí es una costumbre que mis hijos también adoptaron de mí, y por supuesto de su abuela aunque no creo que la hayan visto durmiendo de esa manera.
Lo curioso es que nunca me percaté de haber adoptado esas costumbres o rasgos característicos de mi abuela, hasta que lo vi reflejado en mis hijos. Solo entonces me recordar un tanto a mi abuelita, que comencé a prestar más atención a cuáles otros rasgos identitarios hemos integrado nuestra vida sin darnos cuenta.
Y no son pocos. Solo en esta foto casual, hay dos más.
Sin embargo, estos son dos que me vienen a la mente ahora, ya que fueron los primeros y los más curiosos.
Curiosos porque, sí, quizás yo he observado a mi abuela cuando dormía o cuando adoptaba esa posición relajada de las manos sobre los pechos.
Quizás mis hijos me vieron a mí hacerlo e inconscientemente adoptaron este rasgo.
Pero ¿Por qué? ¿Cómo? ¿Por qué de tantas cosas que hago ellos han copiado precisamente estos dos que pertenecen a mi abuelita?
En realidad no me interesa. Al verlos me acuerdo de ella y soy feliz.
