My mom's name is Margarita. She's named after a flower. Perhaps that's why I've been drawn to plants since I was a child. My house has always been a small botanical garden of ornamental plants. Now that I have a patio and garden, we've added fruit and other plants.
So imagine my joy when I found this little ornamental plant shop, right next to a farmers' market.
It's a small shop full of these wonders at a very affordable price. Sun plants, shade plants, flowers, and more.
They even had flowering plants like these: Alpine violets.
This is a very rare plant to find in our country.
I almost decided on these beautiful cacti or succulents, but I already had them all.
One plant that really caught my eye was these chili-like ones. The vendors told us that these fruits aren't edible, so I think they're some kind of flower. Regardless of whether it was a chili pepper or not, the plants are very colorful and beautiful.
I spent almost an hour talking with the vendors about their plants and their new venture. This type of business is always appreciated in the city. We need more color on our streets.
I bought some rosemary and basil seedlings to plant in the yard. They're not only beautiful plants, but they're also great for the kitchen.
On the way home, I found a tree of these beautiful oleanders. I'd never seen them this color before, so I cut a branch with a bud to plant in front of my house.
This way, I'll have shade and the exquisite aroma of oleanders.
And speaking of color and good smell, I also bought these flowers. Today I was talking with my husband about my mom, and suddenly, these beautiful daisies appeared.
They were the ones I'd been waiting for, almost without realizing it.

Mi mamá se llama Margarita. Tiene nombre de #flor. Quizás por eso, desde niña me he sentido atraída por las #plantas. Mi casa siempre ha sido un pequeño jardín botánico de plantas ornamentales. Ahora que tengo patio y jardín, hemos sumado plantas frutales y de otros tipos.
Así que imaginen mi alegría cuando encontré esta pequeña tienda de plantas ornamentales, justo al lado de un mercado agropecuario.
Es un pequeño local lleno de estas maravillas a un precio bien asequibles. Plantas de sol, de sombra, florales y más.
Incluso tenían plantas florales como estas: unas Violetas de los alpes.
Esta es una planta muy rara de encontrar en nuestro país.
Por poco me decido por estos hermosos cactus o suculentas, pero ya las tenía todas.
Una planta que me llamó mucho la atención fueron estas que parecían de ají. Los dependientes nos dijeron que esos frutos no son comestibles, por lo que pieso que sean una especie de flor. Independientemente de si era ají o no, las plantas son muy coloridas y bonitas.
Estuve casi una hora conversando con los vendedores sobre sus plantas y su nuevo emprendimiento. Siempre se agradecen este tipo de negocios en la ciudad. Necesitamos más colorido en nuestras calles.
Compré unas posturas de romero y de albahaca para sembrar en el patio. No solo son plantas hermosas, también sirven para la cocina.
De camino a la casa encontré un árbol de estas hermosas adelfas. Nunca las había visto de este color, así que corté una rama con yema para sembrarla en el frente de mi casa.
Así tendré sombra y el aroma exquisito de las adelfas.
Y hablando de colorido y buen olor, tambien compré estas flores. Hoy estuve conversando con mi esposo sobre mi mamá y de pronto, aparecen estas hermosas Margaritas.
Eran a ellas a las que estuve esperando todo este tiempo, casi sin saberlo.
