Measure twice, cut once. That was the rule and a very good rule too. It made sense for tailors, carpenters, surgeons, just about anyone whose job required precision in actions that can't be reversed.
Alisha knew this well and had even developed the habit of measuring a third or fourth time just in case. She was a consummate professional after all.
So what the hell happened this time??
The muslin mockup had fit the mannequin like a dream and yet, somehow yards and yards of the most expensive fabric she had ever touched had just been stitched into a monstrosity she wasn't at all certain she could salvage.
She said a prayer, picked up a seam ripper and hoped that the seam allowance was generous enough and the remaining fabric was plentiful enough to make it all work out in the end.

I've never sewn professionally. Maybe I would have devoted more time to learning the trade if I'd known folks were planning to teach robots how to write 🤖. Hindsight is 20/20.
Anyhoo.
