Hello everyone! This is my very first post here in Worldmappin, and I'm so excited to share one of my most unforgettable travel experiences- my trip to Baguio City, the "Summer Capital of the Philippines".
It was my first time visiting this beautiful mountain city, and the cool air made me feel refreshed. The scent of pine trees and the laid-back atmosphere were such a welcome change from the usual city buzz. Out of all the places, I and my son explored, four stood out the most--Burnham Park, the Lion head, Sam's Eco park and Dragon Castle.

My day began at Burnham Park, one of Baguio's most iconic spots. As soon as I arrived, I could see families enjoying picnics, kids riding bikes, and couples boating on the lake. The park was alive with laughter and simple joys. I decided to rent a boat for me and my son and paddled across the calm water. It was such a peaceful moment-just me and my son, the gentle ripples, and the crisp Baguio breeze.
After the, we strolled around the park and discovered its charming flower gardens. The colors were vibrant, almost like the flowers were smiling back at us! Of course, no visit to Baguio is complete without trying the famous strawberry taho. The sweet and warm flavor was perfect for the cool weather-it really hit the spot! And after that, my son and I proceeded to Sam's Eco park and in Kennon road where the famous Lion head stood. Visiting the Sam's eco park is so amazing. Animals were shaped or carved in the rocks.

We took time just walking around and soaking in the view. What I loved most about Burnham Park is how it brings people together. Whether you are there to relax, exercise or simply enjoy nature, there's always something special about being part of that joyful crowd.

Later that afternoon, I made my way to Dragon Castle, a place that instantly sparked my curiosity. With its name alone, I knew it was going to be something unique! The moment I arrived, I was amazed by its architecture-golden dragon statues and intricate designs that made it look like a traditional Chinese temple. Inside, the ambiance was just as stunning-dim lights, hanging lanterns, and a cozy atmosphere perfect for dining. I tried there sweet and sour pork and special fried rice, and oh my, it was delicious! The flavors were rich and comforting, a perfect way to end a day of exploring.
As I finished my meal, the afternoon fog started to roll in, giving the whole space a dreamy, mysterious feel. It was one of these quiet moments where you just sit back, smile and think, "This is what travel is all about."

My visit to Burnham Park and Dragon Castle reminded me that Baguio isn't just about the cool weather- it's about experiences that warm your heart. From the laughter at the lake to the serenity at the dinner, every moment felt like a story worth keeping.
Thank you for joining me on my first Worldmappin adventure! I can't wait to share more of my travels with you all.
