Mis días en puerto la cruz han sido bastante movidos y agradezco tanto a mi familia y amigos aquí que me han permitido mantener la mente ocupada, la idea de hoy era irme al paseo colon con mi amiga pero la esposa de mi primo me invitó a un cumpleaños y decidí acompañarlos y debo decir que la pasé muy bien.
My days in Puerto La Cruz have been quite busy and I am so grateful to my family and friends here who have allowed me to keep my mind occupied. The idea for today was to go to Paseo Colon with my friend, but my cousin's wife invited me to a birthday party and I decided to join them, and I must say I had a great time.
Antes de ir al cumpleaños pasamos de nuevo por mango bajito ya que hay una parte donde hay juguetes y la esposa de mi primo estuvo comprando algunas cosas para regalar al niño que estaba de cumpleaños. Mientras veía los juguetes vi un camión volteo que me pidió mi sobrino que le comprara, espero tener algo de dinero antes de irme de puerto la cruz para poder comprale este regalo a mi sobrino.
Before going to the birthday party, we stopped by Mango Bajito again because there's a section there with toys, and my cousin's wife was buying some things to give to the birthday boy. While I was looking at the toys, I saw a dump truck that my nephew asked me to buy him. I hope I have some money before I leave Puerto La Cruz so I can buy him this gift.
Por supuesto que ir a mango bajito es siempre ver muchos platos y tazas que quisiéramos comprar y hoy no fue la excepción.

Estuve caminando por el área de flores pues hay algunas que me gustaría llevar a la casa para adornar el rincón donde está la foto de mi mamá y es que quiero que esté rincón siempre este muy lindo para ella. Antes de venirme de la isla estuve en el mango bajito de allá y compré unas flores muy lindas para arreglar su altar.
I was walking through the flower area because there are some flowers I'd like to take home to decorate the corner where my mom's picture is. I want that corner to always be beautiful for her. Before I left the island, I went to the small mango tree there and bought some lovely flowers to decorate her altar.

The birthday party started at 5 pm and we arrived at 7 pm, but we were still on time and I took some pictures of the cake and the birthday boy. I didn't know the baby since I hadn't been to Puerto La Cruz in eight years, but I do know the boy's mother and she's a good friend. So when she saw me, she was happy that I came to her son's birthday party.

Even though we arrived a little late, we had some appetizers and they were all delicious. Then we sang "Happy Birthday" and I must say the cake was delicious; I loved the filling and I'll ask my friend how she made it later.
