Feliz noche amigos de Familia & Friends, está noche quiero compartir con ustedes unas lindas fotos de la semana pasada y es que el viernes 21 de noviembre fue el cumpleaños 66 de mi mamá. Si eres alguien que lee mis post sabrás que mi mamá ha estado muy enferma y aún seguimos de médicos en medicos. Pero el día de su cumpleaños decidimos reunirnos un rato en casa. Preparar un almuerzo y una torta para celebrar su vida, a pesar de las dificultades que hemos pasado estamos tan agradecidos de poder celebrar un año más de vida de ella.
Good evening, friends of Family & Friends! Tonight I want to share some lovely photos from last week. Friday, November 21st, was my mom's 66th birthday. If you're someone who reads my posts, you know my mom has been very ill, and we're still going from doctor to doctor. But on her birthday, we decided to get together at home for a while. We prepared lunch and a cake to celebrate her life. Despite the difficulties we've faced, we are so grateful to be able to celebrate another year of her life.
Ella por todo el tema de su salud tiene una dieta bastante estricta, pero aún así me pidió que le preparara una torta de vainilla rellena con crema Chantilly y fresas, tenía mucho que no trabajaba con crema Chantilly pero aún así su torta de cumpleaños quedó muy linda.
Because of her health issues, she has a pretty strict diet, but she still asked me to make her a vanilla cake filled with Chantilly cream and strawberries. I hadn't worked with Chantilly cream in a long time, but her birthday cake still turned out very nice.
A pesar de todos los problemas de salud que ella ha estado enfrentando este día el de su cumpleaños estuvo bastante alegre. Una de las visitas más lindas que tuvimos fue una de mis tias que vino desde otro estado para acompañarnos y darle animos a mi mamá de que todo va a mejorar.
Despite all the health problems she's been facing, her birthday was quite joyful. One of the nicest visits we had was from one of my aunts who came from another state to be with us and encourage my mom, assuring her that everything will get better.
Y por supuesto en este post tienen mención especial mi mejor amiga @daifernandez0929 por qué ella se tomó el día libre en su trabajo para venir hasta mi casa y compartir con mi mamá. Se que ella la ama tanto como yo y ella es parte importante de nuestra familia.
And of course, my best friend @daifernandez0929 deserves a special mention in this post because she took the day off work to come to my house and spend time with my mom. I know she loves her as much as I do, and she's an important part of our family.
Para el almuerzo hicimos pescado, ensalada y arepas. En este caso mi mamá solo comió pescado y arepa y es que ella está cansada de comer pollo y por eso por su cumpleaños decidimos preparar pescado que también puede comer.
For lunch we made fish, salad, and arepas. This time my mom only ate fish and arepas because she's tired of eating chicken, so for her birthday we decided to make fish, which she can also eat.
Mientras estábamos almorzando llegó el bebé consentido de la casa y le estuvo dando mucho amor a su abuelita.
While we were having lunch, the spoiled baby of the house arrived and showered his grandmother with love.
Por supuesto no podía faltar una foto linda de la cumpleañera, le puse el cintillo que dice feliz cumpleaños y le tome una linda foto con su torta de cumpleaños y sin lugar a dudas el deseo de todos nosotros para ella es que tenga mucha salud. Fue un lindo día ya que vinieron todos sus hermanos y pasamos una tarde bastante buena y ella estuvo rodeada de mucho amor.
Of course, we couldn't miss taking a lovely picture of the birthday girl. I put a "Happy Birthday" headband on her and took a nice photo of her with her birthday cake. Without a doubt, our wish for her is that she has good health. It was a wonderful day because all her siblings came, and we had a great afternoon. She was surrounded by lots of love.
Luego mi sobrino volvió a tomarse otra foto con ella. Y pie supuesto no podía faltar mi foto con ella. Hemos vivido meses difíciles. Pero estoy llena de mucha fé que todo va a mejorar y agradecida de que a pesar de todo lo que hemos pasado Dios y la vida nos permitió celebrar un cumpleaños más del amor de mi vida.
Then my nephew took another picture with her. And of course, I couldn't miss having my picture with her. We've been through some difficult months. But I have so much faith that everything will get better, and I'm grateful that despite everything we've been through, God and life allowed us to celebrate another birthday with the love of my life.
