Hello friends of Photography! Happy weekend! I hope you're all doing well. Today I wanted to participate in the challenge from our friend @friendlymoose, who invites us to share a photograph related to architecture. Just yesterday, I was meeting with my lab supervisor at the university, finalizing the last details of what will be a scientific publication. We did this at the university, but afterward, we drove back, and I took advantage of the moment to take various photographs of the route from the university campus to downtown Caracas. Although I was able to take some pictures of the different and exceptional structures on campus, I preferred to see what other elements the city had to offer that I could share with you.
The city of Caracas, in some ways, resembles a mosaic of different architectural styles from various eras. There are modern buildings, some 30 years old, then older ones from 80 years ago, and finally, centuries-old structures and houses. They all seem to share the same space, and this, in a way, gives Caracas a unique charm. Along the way, we passed Avenida Bolívar, home to the city's main theaters and museums, boasting impressive architectural design. However, one museum that often goes unnoticed, almost hidden, is the National Art Gallery.

This enormous horizontal building stretches from Avenida Universidad in the north to Avenida Bolívar in the south, covering an area of over two and a half kilometers! The last time I visited was during a book fair, and I can say that it is quite extensive, ideal for housing a large number of artworks and exhibitions. This building is just over 16 years old, making it one of the city's more recent architectural works and therefore one of its most avant-garde. While maintaining the solemnity of an art gallery, it boasts a distinctly modern style. As a book lover, I often visit this space because I always find interesting books to read, and it also has a café where you can enjoy a coffee while engrossed in your latest purchase.
At the end of the day, reviewing the photos I had taken, I decided to share the ones I took of this art gallery because of its original design and also because it reminded me of the endless afternoons I spent browsing exhibitions or searching for new books to read. Ultimately, what began as an assignment for this challenge ended up being a process of unlocking memories and reliving pleasant moments. See you in the next challenge, friends. Best regards!

Hola amigos de Photography! Feliz fin de semana, esperando que se encuentren bien hoy he querido participar en el reto de nuestro amigo @friendlymoose que nos invita a compartir alguna fotografía que tenga que ver con alguna arquitectura. Justo ayer estuve reunido con mi jefe de laboratorio en la universidad finiquitando los últimos detalles de lo que será una publicación científica. Esto lo hicimos en la universidad pero al terminar nos regresamos en auto y aproveché el momento para tomar distintas fotografías de la ruta que va desde la ciudad universitaria al centro de Caracas y aunque pude tomar algunas fotografías de las distintas y excepcionales estructuras del campus, preferí ver que otros elementos de tenía la ciudad que pudiera compartir con ustedes.
La ciudad de Caracas parece en algunos casos un mosaico de diferentes arquitecturas de distintos tiempos, hay edificios modernos, de hace 30 años, luego más antiguos de 80 años y finalmente estructuras y casas centenarias, todas parecen estar compartiendo un mismo espacio y eso en cierta manera le da un encanto particular a la Ciudad de Caracas. En el camino pasamos por Avenida Bolívar donde se encuentra los principales teatros y museos de la ciudad con un gran diseño arquitectónico, pero uno de los museos que pasa casi desapercibido y hasta parece estar escondido, es la Galería de Arte Nacional.

Este enorme edificio horizontal se extiende desde la Avenida Universidad que estaría al norte hasta la Avenida Bolívar al Sur cubriendo una extensión de más de 2 kilómetros y medio! La última vez que entré a este lugar fue durante una Feria del Libro y puedo decir que es bastante extenso, ideal para ser el repositorio de una gran cantidad de obras de arte y también de exposiciones. Este edificio tiene poco más de 16 años así que es de las obras arquitectónicas más recientes que tiene la ciudad y es por tanto una de las más vanguardistas pues sin alejarse de la solemnidad de una galería de arte, tiene un estilo bastante moderno. Como amante de los libros suelo venir a estos espacios ya que siempre encuentro libros interesantes para leer y también tiene una cafetería donde puedes disfrutar de un café mientras disfrutas de leer el libro que acabas de comprar.
Al final del día, revisando las fotos que había tomado, decidí compartir las fotos que tomé de esta Galería de Arte por su diseño tan original y también porque me hizo recordar las interminables tardes que pasaba viendo exposiciones o buscando libros nuevos que leer. En definitiva, lo que comencé como una tarea para participar en este challenge terminó siendo un proceso de desbloqueo de recuerdos y gratos momentos. Nos vemos en un próximo post amigos. Saludos!
