Since I was a child I have always been attracted to houses surrounded by nature, flowers, trees, domestic animals. The typical house with a white picket fence, where the natural and the simplicity of life reigns. But then, with the passing of the years and some circumstances of life, those desires have been relegated to watch documentaries or programs of families living in the countryside, because I love to see the way they live, the food in firewood, see how they raise their animals and their simple houses. Then I make the comparison between that life and the one lived in the city and I would like to experience that lifestyle again, but only in some things....
Lately, I have been thinking about that alternative, because I think that in a few years, I would like to be living in a house away from the city; now that the younger children are growing up, in a few years, I would like to spend my golden years somewhere surrounded by nature and finally fulfill that dream, of waking up with the cool breeze from the trees and having my coffee under a leafy tree, without the worry of having to face crowded streets. For this season, I would take my husband and traveling companion, because I know he would enjoy nature and space as much as I do.
I would love for my children and future grandchildren to visit us and enjoy what living in such an environment has to offer, such as the wood-fired food, which I have tried and has a very particular taste. Of course, that would be for occasions, ha, ha, ha, ha, because I really don't see myself looking for firewood in the forest to cook every day. That's why I said, at the beginning, that I like that lifestyle, but only in some things... in having my house, without so many neighbors nearby, in nature, but with its comforts, gas stove, electricity and all the necessary appliances that make my life easier.
Otherwise, I would not mind living a simple life, with my cats and my husband, as I love to see how people who live in these environments, live more quietly, without so much stress and noise, as what we have to tolerate in the cities. As a child I grew up in a very spacious house with lots of nature. Now, at this stage of my life, I would like to return to something similar, because there is nothing like living with all the beauty that the earth gives you. Since I knew him, I know what he talked about, that would be my dream come true.
