Yesterday, we were hit by an unexpected blizzard! 🥶 Naturally, the family and I were caught in it during our walk through the neighborhood! But thankfully it wasn't too bad; we enjoyed ourselves and were able to take a few decent photos.
Our walk began by a nearby park, with a small baseball diamond area as well.
As I watched the snowflakes slowly dance their way to the ground, I found myself caught in a state of tranquility... There really is something magical about the slowly drifting snow, that makes you reflect on the purity and wonder of the world.

Our two little girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves as well! 😄🙏 We are not a family that stays sheltered during the colder months, so they have definitely had their share of chilly winter activities.

The beginnings of the trail... This is a very popular trail, particularly for dog walkers and joggers. However, given the inclement weather, we were greeted to an empty trail -- a rare, yet welcome sight! 😄 We love being able to keep to ourselves!

Our girls, enjoying some fresh powder 😉 Making fresh tracks in the snow!

Our oldest daughter had a wonderful time -- she walked the entire way to the grocery store 🙏 I love these two photos; they show her in her most natural element.

For this photo, I was trying to capture a really cool shot of the streetlight in the middle of the blizzard. I wanted it to be subtle, yet still colorful enough to see the red. I think I'm pretty satisfied with the result! 👍
