A rainy morning is a wonderful time to thank the Almighty Lord for waking up and seeing this change in nature around us.
We can compare the weather of yesterday and the weather of today this has always been a reason to talk, and, as we know, people sometimes do not know what to talk about especially if it seems to them that everything they could discuss has already been discussed.
In such conversations people often reveal their preferences to each other.
For example, someone likes sunny days, and someone loves the autumn coolness he puts this above the previous opinion and does not understand how one can love some unbearable heat.
We sometimes do not notice this, but we like to create, invent and proclaim as a given our own systems of measures.
Something is higher something is lower, something is heavier and something is light as a feather and all this has its own preferences.
Even faith in God, in the minds of many people, has a system of measures which is mentioned in the Gospel of Matthew 18:1 where we learn that the disciples of Jesus Christ being near him for a long time, did not get rid of the system of measures and argued among themselves who of them is greater in the Kingdom of Heaven, based on their own holiness.
But, having asked Jesus Christ to judge their dispute they heard from him that the one who considers himself higher, in the spiritual sense let him become the smallest the lowest a servant for the rest.
Which plunged the disciples into sadness and bewilderment.
You know, since then for more than two thousand years, nothing has changed people including believers sometimes feed on their pride, trying to show their superiority over their neighbors.
It is very difficult to get rid of this especially when you are surrounded by many examples of inequality.
For example someone built a small mansion for himself wanting to taste freedom and always be under the sun, but after some time a skyscraper grows next to his house and its shadow constantly falls on that person's house.
It is difficult to fight such inequality and it always makes itself felt.
People, having managed to rise into the air in balloons and airplanes and looking down from the height of their flight, saw that looking down from above all the mountains and plains are equal in height all the skyscrapers and tiny huts are just geometric figures their contours and nothing more than on a sheet of paper people are tiny dots that have no reason to try to exalt themselves above their neighbors in anything.
This is how God looks at us from heaven and for him each of us each soul, is valuable!
Personally I don’t remember what the world looks like from the height of an airplane flight, the last time I flew was about forty-five years ago but I see something similar to equality when I find myself in the open space of a flowering meadow where there are no tall trees and it seems that in the flowering carpet all the plants are equal and do not compete with each other.
But this is only an optical illusion, because everything requires detailed consideration in this mass of plants there are those who try to dominate other plants.
For example I cannot compare how this meadow looked when I first saw it and how it looked many years ago, today one species of plants predominates here which made the life of other less strong plants impossible.
Portomu the apparent absence of oppression of some over others is very deceptive here it is rather equality among equals but here too there can be competition.
What else is worth paying attention to is that sometimes a tiny plant that spreads its leaves along the surface of the earth for example plantain suddenly at some point throws out a high arrow with a flowering candle which rises above other plants and declares to the bees that here it is, how tall and edged, there is more nectar in it than in other flowers.
But bees are not God and they are really bribed by this external factor and give preference to the one who is higher.
Glory to Jesus Christ for the fact that around us there are so many examples of God's principles, explanations of His Word and the opportunity to get rid of pride at least for a little while, because pride for a person is something that constantly tries to stick to us again along with a feeling of inequality!
