Sunday morning walk in search of shadows (13pics)

This is my application for the contest Shadow Hunters SMASh Contest-Round 365- 7 years! by @melinda010100

7 years is a long time. In Russia, at the age of 7, a child goes to school, to the 1st grade, and there is even a joke - childhood is over.
I wish @melinda010100 good health and prosperity so that her ShadowHunters kingdom continues to develop and bring her a good profit!

So, Sunday morning, I woke up at 6 a.m. and saw the dawn outside the window, not a single cloud in the sky. The sun began to wake up before me. At 7 o'clock, I went out for a walk with the dog. I planned to walk with the dog along the usual winter route, i.e., along the road, but after leaving the village, I realized that I could walk on the hardened snow.
It rained on Friday, and it was warm on Saturday, but tonight the temperature dropped to -7 degrees and the sleet turned to stone. I can walk in any direction and not fall through the snow. This year, the snow height in the fields is about 30 centimeters, which is much less than in previous years.

My Nora is a very active dog and was very happy to have this opportunity to run.

Nora decided that we would go along the trampled road that the snowmobiles had made, but I told her we would go to the lake, and then straight across the field to the river. If I go for a walk with Nora along a road unknown to her, she always stops running ahead and looks at my reaction. She rarely walks next to me. She wants to run a lot!

I didn't go on the ice. The approaches to this small lake are very difficult from this side.
Look, friends, all the bushes and reeds are covered with silver. A smartphone, of course, does not convey all the beauty around me.

I went to the river and went out on the road. My shadow is following me. She is 3 or more times longer than me. I'm like a giant!

Nora knows this road, we walk along it in the summer to the river, so she runs ahead of me and manages to run in circles through the hard stone snow and sniff the snow and bushes. We haven't walked this road for over 4 months.

I wanted to say that @scottshots recently showed some cool photos of a snowy day. Last Sunday, I also wanted to show my walk after the snowfall, but now it's no longer relevant.
Today I was glad to have the opportunity to walk along the valley in any direction, regardless of the lack of a road. Next weekend, this snow will most likely not be so hard anymore and I won't be able to let the dog walk freely without a leash.

I'm at the river. I see 2 penguins on the ice. Of course, these are people. These are my former neighbors, husband and wife, retired. Strange. Their son graduated from school just 1 year earlier than my eldest son. But I'm still 9 years away from retirement, but they've been retired for at least 10 years. They go fishing almost every day, summer and winter. I also want to go fishing, but I don't have the opportunity.

So. I walk forward, then I turn onto the field and walk towards the house. A circle about 4 km long will close.
