This is my application for the contest Reflection Hunters Contest ~ Round 223 🎺 Announcement 🎺! by @olgavita
Greetings, friends.
If any of my followers and readers have been closely following my stories over the past couple of weeks, they might have noticed that I'm talking about my trip to Kaliningrad.
Today, I want to show one of the main attractions of the city - the Cathedral on Immanuel Kant Island, through its reflections in the water. On the second day, walking along the embankment of the Pregolya River in the morning towards the Museum of the World Ocean, this idea came to me. The light fell very well on the Cathedral.
This reflection turned out to be on the railing of the fence. There were always a lot of fishermen here in the afternoon and evening, but in the morning they were absent. They probably know when the fish starts feeding.
By the way, there's a Synagogue on the left. I fell in love with this building right away.
I'll say it again, I've never seen a synagogue before. Kaliningrad is a special Russian city in this regard - there are buildings of three different faiths here. But I have not seen a single Muslim mosque here.
And here are 2 fishermen visible on the opposite shore. But on my shore during the day, fishermen usually stood in a bunch, literally shoulder to shoulder. I'm a fisherman too, but I don't like this kind of fishing; I always stay away from the crowd.
We already know that this is a Synagogue. Look, friends, I see the reflection of the right fisherman in the water.
В этом славном городе много каштанов и я оказался здесь как раз во время их цветения.
My son decided to test my knowledge of trees. He asked me about the tall trees and their names. I was on top of it. He thought that I did not know that these were columnar poplars.
By the way, these pictures were taken from the observation deck on the bridge. Of course, I was going to stand on this platform on the first day of arrival, but I had to stand in line to be on it. There were many people who wanted to take a selfie or just take a photo of a similar landscape. I understand that you can find many similar views of the Cathedral on the Internet. I didn't wait for the opportunity to get on the observation desk on the first day; I knew that I would do it on the morning of the second day.
I'm looking at the picture now and thinking - maybe I need to do some special processing of this picture?
Here are chestnut candles.
I have a question when I see the Cathedral - why didn't the builders use tiles during the restoration of this Cathedral? Or at least make the color of the metal roof tiled?
The Synagogue, the bridge, and the Sun.
An interesting tree with nests! Later, I found out that these are not nests, but white mistletoe, a semiparasitic plant that is located on the branches of other trees. Mistletoe may look like birds' nests, but they are not nests; but mistletoe bushes.
I hope, friends, that you have not tired of me, and in the future, I will continue to show Kaliningrad and other cities through reflections.
Thanks for reading...
