El día viernes me tocó realizar una labor especial en el patio de materiales de mi lugar de trabajo. Aunque no era una tarea planificada con anterioridad, esta se dio, digamos, de manera urgente, debido a que hay un material que se va a agregar al inventario general. Esto se debe a que el tipo de material que organicé pertenece a otra categoría, ya que trabajamos con un tipo de andamio llamado CupLock, y este corresponde al tipo Layer.

On Friday, I had to perform a special task in the materials yard at my workplace. Although it wasn't a pre-planned task, it came about rather urgently because some material needs to be added to the general inventory. This is because the type of material I organized belongs to a different category, as we work with a type of scaffolding called CupLock, which is a Layer type.
Tenemos tiempo con este material, pero, a decir verdad, no le habíamos dado prioridad para agregarlo al inventario, por lo que no se encontraba correctamente organizado en los racks. Aclarado el contexto de esta tarea, les muestro parte del proceso.
Lo primero fue bajar el material al suelo, porque estaba todo mezclado, y debía seleccionarse por medida para que, a la hora de necesitarlos, sea más fácil cargarlos a los camiones de los clientes que los requieran. Además, al estar bien organizados, se facilita el conteo de los mismos. Siempre el orden es una buena opción.
We've had this material for a while, but to be honest, we hadn't prioritized adding it to the inventory, so it wasn't properly organized on the racks. Now that you understand the context of this task, let me show you part of the process.
The first step was to bring the material down to the floor, because it was all mixed up, and it needed to be sorted by size so that, when needed, it would be easier to load it onto the trucks of the customers who require it. Also, being well-organized makes counting much easier. Order is always a good thing.
Una vez que bajé el material de los racks y lo seleccioné por tipo y medida, procedí a organizar todo en su lugar. Pasé prácticamente todo el día en esta tarea; el sol estaba, creo yo, en su punto máximo, pero la tarea ya era un hecho y debía completarse ese mismo día.
Después de una ardua labor, la tarea se cumplió y todo quedó en orden. Cabe destacar que, para manipular este material, es necesario usar guantes, principalmente porque al ser metálico alcanza un nivel de temperatura que literalmente puede causar pequeñas quemaduras si se agarra con la mano descubierta. Esto ocurre porque el material está al aire libre y recibe los rayos del sol durante todo el día.
Once I took the material down from the racks and sorted it by type and size, I proceeded to put everything in its place. I spent practically the entire day on this task; the sun was, I think, at its peak, but the job was done and had to be completed that same day.
After a lot of hard work, the task was finished and everything was in order. It's worth noting that gloves are necessary when handling this material, mainly because, being metallic, it reaches a temperature that can literally cause minor burns if handled with bare hands. This happens because the material is outdoors and exposed to the sun's rays all day long.

Ya que el material está todo seleccionado y organizado, en los próximos días procederemos a contarlo y agregarlo al inventario.
