It was a cold winter morning as Derek strolled towards his self made garden. He has harboured that idea of setting up his own small farm, a garden where he'll plant a few vegetables and pepper, yes pepper.
He got this wish fulfilled when he stated a small garden behind his rented apartment. It took him a few compost and animal dungs to prepare the land. Thereafter he transferred his plants from the nursery.
Initially they were all doing well. Even neighbours usually admire his farm. He keeps watering them and occasionally picking out caterpillars form the leaves of the plants. That looks well taken care of.
However, this morning when Derek got to his small garden he was shocked to find out the harsh reality starring at him. The plants suddenly turns yellow with most withering away. Derek was confused. How could this be! This is not a deficiency please.
Derek observed the leaves and the stems and the roots. Yet he could not decipher what the problem was. Maybe I did not water them as I am supposed to have done. Maybe the soil has become acidic. Maybe the weather affected them too. Derek kept asking these questions in his head but got no plausible answers from his self queries.
