Born in a family of six, Alex the last of his siblings was not opportuned to further his education beyond high school. One of his uncles from his maternal side took him to the city at a young age to learn a trade. He was also left with doing all the house chores in his uncle's house before he goes to his master's shop where he learnt a trade.
Few years in the apprenticeship Alex was able to learn as fast as possible. His master was impressed with tht way he was able to learn simple and basic skills. Thus, instead of staying for five years which is the minimum years required for such apprenticeship, Alex was discharged after three years!
When he got his own shop and started business his Uncle asked him: "why did you speed up your learning process?" Alex answered "sir, my inspiration was drawn from my dad who did everything possible to escape poverty despite the odds working against him." His uncle shuddered and praised his bravery.
With his trade Alex was able to raise enough capital to marry and then build a befitting house for himself in his countryhome.
