The King stormed out of the council meeting and signalled his guards to join him. Everyone one the meeting was confused as they have not seen him in such a bad mood before. Many saw reasons with him because no one will be happy to have such a bad coincidence.
It was believed that he had planned the forthcoming new yam festival to be celebrated in a grand style. It took him.many weeks of planning and finally a date was fixed for it. He has also sent out invitations and as it were, everything is already set for the occasion.
But Rex, their legal advisor promised to secure the attendance of the executive Governor. Funds were made available for him to facilitate the visit. The King had wanted to use that medium to appeal to the Governor for a good road network for his agrarian community.
True to his words, the community legal adviser secured the much needed attendance of the Governor but did not make it coincide with the date for the celebration of the new yam festival. He went and informed the ministry in charge of fixing Governor's attendance to occasions a wrong date.
Immediately he submitted the letter of approval for the Governor's visit before the council meeting and the king learning about the unfortunate coincidence, he stormed out of the meeting.
