Jane left her place of work almost the same time the rain was about to fall. The motto park was filled with people anxiously waiting to escape the threatening weather. Beside the newspaper stand were a group of both young and old people arguing profusely over the choice of candidates for the forthcoming general elections. There were familiar faces among the crowd. Jane shrugged, as those people were not even bothered about the rain beating them.
After waiting for about ten minutes, a cab came by and Jane hopped in. She was happy that the rain was yet to start falling despite the thick clouds hovering over them for the past thirty minutes. The driver was very careful and got to her destination well on time. She paid and strolled down home. Then the rain began to fall. Jane was grateful that she escaped it completely.
Having taken her dinner, it was time to watch the national news at ten. She tuned in to her favourite station and the major news item was the presidential aspirants of the various political parties. She was keen to know who was vying and which party they are coming from.

She knows that those who were able to splash the cash will become the candidates or flag bearers of the major leading parties.
