and that is a serious understatement,
but I finally did it...
After over 7 and a half years on this platform, I managed to write publish a 1000 posts on my main account and that without having being super consistent.
I just like to write, as well as to share (my story) with others.
Also, in all honesty, this platform is pretty addictive and not just because of the gamification elements (like the reputation level) and the notifications by hivebuzz.
It's one of the few (D)apps that I log into on a daily basis and usually many times a day, in order to read, write and interact in various ways with fellow Hivers.
And seriously, how could I not be closely connected to a place that allowed me to make friends all over the world, which in September last year led to getting together with the love of my life, @clareartista ( after almost 5 years of long distance friendship ).
There are so many reasons to be grateful for Hive...
And I am not even talking about all the ways that I have been - and still am - 'earning' on here. It's way more than just a savings account. In fact, I love to invest in Hive and to buy more than I earn.
Although I take out money too, in order to live ( FYI: I have basically been all-in in cryptocurrency, since mid 2017 ) and - at times - convert Hive to Bitcoin, I have bought several times more Hive than I've earned. I still very much believe that it has a future and is seriously underrated, especially compared to the 1000s of coins ( especially meme coins ) that don't have a project behind it and/or don't seem to serve any purpose at all, aside from having a dumb name and hoping for 'number go up' by shilling, artificial pumps and so on.
Anyhow, I could make this a very long post but I basically just wanted to celebrate this milestone with you all and likely - in real life - with Clare, later today, by eating a nice bowl of home baked apple crumble with mascarpone. A British recipe with an Italian touch ( we are in Italy, after all and they don't seem to have custard in this city nor vanilla vla ( I would eat it with the latter in The Netherlands, where I grew up) ).
Let's see how far I will get, over time. Will I ever reach 2000 posts? No idea. But for now I am pretty proud.
I never chose to become a blogger, even though I have basically written my entire life ( since learning that skill ). I got started on here, because I was desperate, almost broke, learnt about crypto, got excited, found Hive ( then Steemit) and felt like sharing my story. The connections and positive feedback kept me here and - over time - led to this milestone.
Onwards and upwards!
Thank you for reading and interacting with me and all the best for your journey.✨
The pictures in this post where taken by me, this morning, while on a walk with Clare. This colorful decoration of an otherwise boring balcony stood out. Clare noticed the pompoms and I felt drawn to capture it.
