RE: Discovering Basel: Between Antiquity and Modernity

in #worldmappin16 days ago

That is one of the coolest things about old European cities, the mix of the old and the new. So much old history is preserved amongst the sky scrapers. Swiss laws attract a lot of wealthy companies, and you can see that with all of the new buildings everywhere, but they still try to "blend" in a bit style wise. Great pictures, I love the post!

Switzerland does things right that others do wrong, when looking at some countries in Europe, there is no longer real life, the morale is so bad that no one needs to be surprised that some countries are full of problems. The quality of life is so good in Switzerland and that is also noticeable in the mood, in other countries like Germany I have often experienced that the people there are rather cold. Swiss people are also more proud of their own country, and rightly so. That’s probably true, Switzerland is a lucrative location for companies, but of course there are also hurdles here, in itself there are so many places that remind of a miracle, besides the city of Basel I was also in Andermatt in the past which has such a great nature to offer.
