I've been holding off as long as I can before being forced to switch to Windows 11 at home due to rumblings of continuing performace regression in some apps and games. So I just haven't bothered on that system yet. Honestly Windows 11 is pretty nice after you toggle a handful of things off.
I disable Copilot, disable web search in the start menu and disable all the suggestions. I think I'm starting to prefer it over 10 for the most part. Especially with how much better window and display management is.
I did however decide to just go with Windows 11 from the get-go on my new laptop at work and I've been using that with a docking station which Windows 11 handles really well.
When disconnected, all windows on the now disconnected displays move to the laptop display and minimize. They then go back to the display they were on before when reconnecting the dock.
Windows 10 would always just put them on the main display and leave them there... and also sometimes forget previously connected displays.
Windows 11 handles all of that SO much better. Then there's also the extra snap zones and window groups that Windows 10 doesn't have. I've really been quite happy with it on this laptop anyway.
