The Democratic Party is steadily losing influence over Latinos and other minority groups because it lacks substantial positions and is riddled with contradictions.
The party seems unable to choose a consistent cause. Are they advocating for Indigenous people? Black Americans? Middle Eastern traditional Muslims? Latinos? Or are they simply the party of "whatever is currently popular," even when their stances contradict one another?
For instance, Democrats claim to support Indigenous sovereignty, yet simultaneously advocate for Latin American migrants—many of whom are not Indigenous to the U.S. They reject Christianity as a guiding influence in American politics but encourage Latin American Catholics to migrate while also defending Islamic fundamentalists in Palestine. They claim to champion Black Americans, yet abandon them on socially conservative issues within their communities. And as for Asians? The Democrats left them behind a long time ago.
At its core, the Democratic Party lacks a unifying movement. Instead, it has become a collection of incoherent, conflicting ideologies.
