Hyundai still didn't commited to World Rally Championship beyond 2026 but they started to test their Rally2 machinery again after production of that car was cancelled. That could mean something positive because WRC27 cars will be based on the Rally2 technology which is something very good.
What is even more positive is that they sent their official driver Adrien Fourmaux for the test which means they are very serious anout the project.
There are only two full works teams currently with M-Sport Ford as semi-private team. And yeah, it would be very good to keep Hyundai as a works team beyond next season.
Only time will show the real truth about this project but we can only hope for the best possible future of the sport.
