What’s up my fellow Splinterlands players!
I hope all of you are enjoying the day with your loved ones and also enjoying the game in your daily free time. Well, the whole crypto world is experiencing a mixed reaction. While Hive users are feeling happy after seeing good growth in Hive’s price, a large no of crypto enthusiasts are sad and angry seeing Hamster Kombat price on the market which just got listed in exchanges yesterday at 0.011$ per $HMSTR coin and already decreased by 50% within one day. A lot of users including me, who wanted to claim their tokens on Ton wallet still can't perform the transaction due to an overload reason and if you ask me, I am angry and depressed to see months of my hard work going into the gutter. Anyways, as there’s nothing I can do about it so let me just move on, Now talking about splinterlands, the pain that I received from Hamster is getting healed by splinterlands as both of this game’s tokens - SPS and DEC are experiencing a good uptrend, probably due to the recent hive pump.
On the other hand, I am also very happy as I have reached my goal for this ranked season as I have reached Champion III league as you can see from the screenshot above and currently sitting with a trophy rating of exactly 3,700. Now having another 3 days in hand before the ranked season ends, I will try to keep playing and earning some More SPS and Glint points but I have to play cautiously so that I don't end up losing my position and go down to Diamond I again. So, let’s see how it goes.
Now moving forward, let me come to the main topic of this post. In my previous posts, I have talked about 4 opportunity ability monsters that got launched with the newest reward edition card-set and today, I will be talking about another 2 of such opportunity monsters with you all. So if you are interested, let us jump right in without any further delay.
Sergeant Grauzral
The first monster that I want to list here is SERGEANT GRAUZRAL and the first feature that will steal your eyes while seeing this monster is the fact that unlike most of the other opportunity monsters that generally possess melee attack, this monster is a range attacker. This monster got launched just recently into the game with the latest Rebellion reward card edition and this card belongs to the Water element. It is a Legendary type card so you will need a total of 11 BCX of cards to upgrade it to max level. As I said above, its attack type is ranged and it costs 6 mana to be used in battles, so you can use this card easily while playing medium to large mana limit matches.
At its first level, it gets 2 range attack at 3 speed with 5 health and also gets 2 cool abilities since its initial level - Opportunity and Immunity. However, as you start upgrading this card, it receives another ability called Blast at the next level and at max level, its stats also get increased to 3 range attack at 4 speed with 6 health along with those 3 abilities that I mentioned above. I really liked the opportunity + Blast combo of this monster as now you can target the lowest health enemy monster and also apply damage to its adjacent monsters with the help of its Blast ability. So it will be very helpful to kill down backline monsters faster. However, considering its mana cost, it does not have any armor and also comes with decent health, so you will have to protect this monster from enemy attacks.
Surly Drunk
Moving on, the next card that I am about to showcase to all of you is none other than SURLY DRUNK. This naughty lizard lime monster lives to drink a lot but beware before you go poke him as he possesses sharp claws and a strong tail on its back. This monster’s best feature is that it only costs 1 mana to be used in battles, so you can easily fit this card while playing small mana limit matches or Little League ruleset. This monster belongs to the Fire element and it is a legendary card just like the SERGEANT, so you will need a total of 11 BCXs of cards to upgrade it to max level.
Respecting its mana cost, it does seem a strong monster to me. Because even at level 1, it possesses 1 melee attack at 2 speed with 2 health along with the opportunity ability since its initial level. So it will be a very good choice in lower league matches. However, as you upgrade this monster to its maximum level, it gets 2 melee attack at 3 speed with 3 health along with the Opportunity ability. However, though it gets 2 melee attack which will be very beneficial, it does not get any new ability even at its max level. But at 1 mana cost, what more can you expect aay?
I hope you liked reading my post and also loved these 2 monsters which I talked above above. Let me know your favourite monster from the reward card set in the comment section below and I will be seeing you all in my next post.
Wish you all good luck on all of your future Splinterlands matches.
