Like a day ago i show you more pictures from the village Viscri a UNESCO World Heritage site in Romania a charming step back in time, located in the Romanian region of Transylvania. According to Wikipedia, the village was founded by Transylvanian Saxons at the end of the 12th century and was first mentioned in a document in 1185. Almost everything in Viscri looks like 200 years and more ago surroundedby rolling hills and forests.
King Charles III have a personal connection to this region, restoring many farmhouse now know as Charles House. You can visit this nice house, entry is about 3-4 Euro, with his botanical exhibition, many information about architecture and cultural preservation.
I was very impressed of authenticity, sustainability and the historical preservetion here, walking throught the properity you feel a sense of harmony with the nature and culture. The biological lemonade at the end of the visit was excellent.
