I fell your pain, as i'm currently encountering the same response, except to gardening videos. and so many of them are just AI generated slop that take 20 minutes to name a few different kinds of vegetable. It's infuriating how little respect some content creators have for their audience.

My dad is watching gardening videos sometimes, but I suppose it's kinda same everywhere. I sometimes check DIY videos, when I'm working with new materials and God, some people love to see themselves talking for hours and saying nothing. People don't have patience anymore and it's going to penalize them.
I think at the moment the algorithms are favouring longer content 25 -30 minutes, or very short 10-15 seconds, and while there is a place for both, there's no need to add filler to turn 15 seconds into 30 minutes, just for algorithm and monetisation purposes.

I don't know much about what the requirement for the algo is now, but whatever it is, dragging the video just get the necessary length can backfire.
