Last week we had some freezing rain and it made a lot of ice on trees and on power lines in our area.
We were lucky as we never lost power except for a few times the power flickered and once it stayed off for about two minutes.
These pictures were the day of and the day after and the sun shining on the tress and the ice were beautiful. The pictures don't really do them justice.
The neighbors had their power go off for a little while, the funny part of this is they had a back up whole house generator, come to find out they forgot to get propane for the generator to run. Even being prepared does no good unless you check and make sure what you need to run things are available. We all had a good laugh about this and it turned out to be just fine, as the power was only out for them a short time and all was good.
This is a picture that Debi took last year of the bird feeder. she likes looking out the windows and seeing the birds. It is cardinals and woodpeckers that stay around the whole winter here. The geese winter on the pond on the neighbors property, as he has a big pond for his cows to get water and fishing in the summer. This summer I will be posting some pictures of the hummingbirds, as she puts out feeders for them. Hoping all has a good night/day whatever it is in your part of the world. Remember Always Forward!
