Succulents are the most unusual and beautiful plants and flowers I've ever seen, and that's probably why I love them so much.
Some time ago I said that I like them because of the climate in which they thrive, and I also want to live in a similar climate. But maybe I'm missing this - imagine how resilient they must be to survive in such conditions. Almost like weeds in the garden - they sprout, grow and spread even when they are not watered, even in the hottest heat. Even when nothing else around remains alive, they remain, blooming and thriving.
Sustainability. In any extreme conditions. Perhaps this is what attracts me most about these plants. Or not. To me they are just beautiful.

Soul's Detour is a project started by me years ago when I had a blog about historical and not so popular tourist destinations in Eastern Belgium, West Germany and Luxembourg. Nowadays, this blog no longer exists, but I'm still here - passionate about architecture, art and mysteries and eager to share my discoveries and point of view with you. |
