Validator Node Licenses, Rewards Shop and SPS Technical Analysis | Splinter Stats Report

in #splinterstats7 months ago (edited)

It has been a few Season since I managed to make it to Champion League of the game. Now I find myself back in Champion III by the time it is the middle of the ongoing Season. Having a few Max Level Cards (including Summoners) while the restrictions on Summoner/Monster Levels in Battles get lifted helped a great deal for me to put an end to the days I spent in Gold League. I am not entirely sure what propelled me to Champion. I hardly spend any time checking out global statistics.

I am maintaining a Ranked Ratio above 1 and being at the bottom of Champion League III allows me to deduce that there is roughly 3,000 players who are experiencing Battles + Rewards that are on par with or better than what I come across. The amount of SPS staked can make a large difference in earnings.

Glint season rewards will show in the season they are claimed.

There seems to be an error in an API. I did not win 165 Battles to walk home with a mere 884 Glint. It could be the amount of Glint I had at the end of the Season after spending everything I can in the Reward Shop. The prices get rest for the Shop at the end of the Season. If I didn't spend my Glint, I can start of the Season with a large number of cheap purchases. The drawback is that I will be paying even higher prices at the end of the Season after buying up the early batches.

This amount is 2X the Glint I earned during the respective Season. It is a great way to give a sudden rush of Rewards for ~2 weeks of hard work. I don't have the luxury of saving up for the Titles. I have to spend this Glint to improve my Collection if I want to remain in Champion League.

I have settled to mostly stick with Elite + Master Draws. I may opt to try some Veteran Draws during the Season because of the high prices caused by 50% price increase for each subsequent batch.

Rewards Were As Following

The Gold Legendary was an especially welcome addition. Ava The Undaunted becomes very useful at Level 3. I can gladly state that the start of the Season was extremely good in terms of Rewards. The way things are going with the last few Draws on the other hand have not been that amazing.

There are plans to make Renting Cards easier as part of the New Player Experience initiative. It could minimize the friction for Renting and led to better demand and revenue. Unfortunately we could be many months away from seeing this feature.

The Validator Node License I purchases during the Presale has been paying off SPS dividends for many years while the software is slowly being developed. There is very little discussion about SPS Validators in the community. Despite the lack of interest, this is a very important step for decentralization. Investors should take a look at SPS DAO Treasury Upgrade that is in the plans.

One of the problems I see is that the prices are in USD while the payment is in SPS. This is good to create more demand for SPS. Some investors would prefer to simply HODL their SPS in the staked for that receive 14.12% APR. Some quick calculations made me realize that 26 Seasons of License Stake Rewards at current prices is over $900 which means an APR that is over 2X of SPS staking (which has VOUCHER reward values added to the calculation)!

I am not a Technical Analysis expert. I know many of the basics and what you are looking at below is the daily chart for SPS. It has not looked good in a long while. Some indicators are showing that a change of direction is coming.

One of the best things you can do at the moment is to have your SPS generating some yield. Prices don't always go vertical and even when they do, we have a lot of time left till the end of the bull market. It is okay to wait to power down until a strong uptrend is seen again. At the end of the week, you can take some profits while leaving most of your SPS ready to ride the wave up for the long term. Staking bakes in discipline to your trading strategy.

Happy Gaming! Happy Investing!
