Heck Yeah, its what keeps me in the game. Although I'm not as organized with my goals as you we have somewhat similar goals in the aspect that we are wanting more of the same things. Including maxing some cards. I'm more so geared towards maxing a mix batched mainly based on cost over any specific set. Just picked up a maxed neutral CHAOS legion legend for under $6.00. To me that's a steal even though there's a chance for further dips once the new set is fully released.
