The long-awaited debut of Yaba’s Pickle, a mysterious and quirky addition teased for months, has finally been unleashed in Splinterlands, sending waves of excitement through the community.
This unique item, named after the game’s co-founder Yabapmatt, introduces unexpected twists in gameplay, delighting both collectors and competitive players alike.
At the same time, the ongoing Arcane Event is captivating attention with its magical theme and rich rewards. This limited-time event offers players a chance to earn rare arcane-themed cards, exclusive cosmetics, and in-game bonuses through daily challenges and special battles.
The synergy between the Pickle's release and the Arcane Event is creating a buzz throughout the Splinterlands ecosystem, making this one of the most exciting periods in the game’s recent history.

There are three ways to get your hands on Yaba’s Pickle:
- SPS Stakeholders Pickle Release – A special drop exclusively for SPS stakeholders.
- Pickle Purchase with a Twist – Buy a Pickle and receive a Gold Foil Arcane Raffle Ticket along with it.
- Black Foil Arcane Auction – Participate in this high-stakes auction for a chance to snag one of the rarest versions of the card.
Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind event—whether you’re a collector, a competitor, or just a fan of the weird and wonderful world of Splinterlands, Yaba’s Pickle is set to be a true game-changer.
Yaba’s Pickle will be available in three distinct foil editions, each with its own rarity and charm. Regular Foil is the standard version, while Gold Foil drops at a 2% rate. The elusive Black Foil has a base drop rate of just 1 in 4,000, which improves to 1 in 2,000 with Midnight Potions.
Each card will cost 150 DEC or 150 Credits, and the sale will be live for 30 days only. Importantly, Gold and Black Foil versions will only be available during this limited-time event. Cards will be sold through the Exclusive Shop, with revenue from the sale split 50/50 between Splinterlands and the DAO.
To be eligible to purchase Yaba’s Pickle, a snapshot of all staked SPS holdings will be taken soon. Players will be allowed to buy one card for every 1,000 SPS staked at the time of the snapshot.... so now is the time to boost your stake. Note that this staking requirement does not apply to the 2nd Chance Special Opportunity or the Black Foil Arcane Auction.
Seven days after the sale ends, we’ll launch the 2nd Chance Special Opportunity... along with a Free Gold Foil Arcane Raffle Chance. Every Raffle ticket entered guarantees a Regular Foil Yaba’s Pickle card, and each entry also gives you a shot at winning a Gold Foil Arcane card, which will be distributed starting from the highest mint number and working down to the lowest.
A total of 50 Gold Foil Arcane cards will be given away, with one winner drawn each day at 10 AM ET / 2 PM UTC. To craft a Raffle ticket, you’ll need 200 Aura, 10 Vouchers, and 200 DEC — with the DEC split evenly between Splinterlands and the DAO.
There’s no limit to how many tickets you can craft or enter, and all tickets are burned upon entry. Tickets can also be freely bought and sold on the non-card market. Each day’s raffle will display the total number of tickets entered, so you’ll always know your odds.
Within seven days of the Gold Raffle ending, the Black Foil Arcane Auction will begin, featuring the rarest edition of the Arcane card. Twenty Black Foil Arcane cards will be auctioned, one per day, with each auction running for 25 hours. Cards will be awarded starting from the highest mint number to the lowest.
To participate, you'll need Auction Points, crafted using 1,000 Aura, 50 Vouchers, and 500 DEC. Auction Points are the exclusive bidding currency, can be traded on the non-card market, and are placed in escrow — returned to you if you're outbid.
