Splinterlands Survival Showdown: Strategize, Survive, Succeed!

in #splinterlandsyesterday

Splinterlands is not... just another game! Splinterlands brought a revolution in blockchain gaming, seamlessly blending strategy with the perks of decentralization. The players truly own their in-game assets, and the battles are epic!

Whether you're purchasing cards from the shop, unlocking reward chests, or opening packs, each asset is securely stored on the blockchain, giving you complete control over your collection.

After immersing myself in this universe for four years, I've explored various avenues to acquire top-tier assets. In this article, I'll delve into the most effective methods: purchasing cards directly from the shop or earning them through reward chests. Let's break down the strategies to help you optimize your Splinterlands journey.

The game operates on the Hive blockchain, ensuring a smooth experience for both newcomers and seasoned players. The Splinterlands community is rich with experienced gamers and crypto enthusiasts who regularly share tips and strategies, enhancing everyone's gameplay.

To be... or not to be! This is the question ... in Splinterlands Survival Mode! How can you live to fight another day in this insane challenge, where the cards you lose are gone for the rest of the season? What's the best approach? How to be more efficient?

Did you enjoyed the first season of Survival Mode? For me was about strategy and success... but the showdown was slow and sad! Why? Because the Survival Mode in Splinterlands is the ultimate test of PvP prowess, where only the strongest endure.

This mode introduces a card fatigue system and eliminates energy requirements, intensifying the battlefield dynamics. The defeated cards enter a cooldown period, rendering them unusable until revived. This mechanic demands meticulous collection management and strategic foresight.

Let’s see who reigns supreme in this endurance trial! My input is simple... if you're not a veteran... delay your entry in the arena! Let the others lose their best cards before you join the fight! VONAK!

Survival Mode flips the game on its head. Forget spamming your maxed-out meta line-up because your cards are now your energy. The more you use them, the closer they get to burnout. Caution is advised!

You need to think long-term. How many copies do you really need? How deep is your collection? Time to channel your inner whale... or get rekt. But here's a little advice so you don't kill your chances on Wild Mode... disable your top cards from Survival Mode!

I played few games at the start of the season and got smashed by the opponents! I felt like a little cockroach in a world full of giants, so I decided to take a break and challenge the ranks closer to the end of the season! The strategy worked but ... I started too late!

I finished into the Wood tier, depleting less than a quarter of my cards! This season I will not leave it until the last hours, and will probably start the night before! Hopefully will link few wins and advance few tiers, adding some rewards in the bag!

Recommendations for Survival Mode Success:

  • Assess Collection Depth: Evaluate the number of copies and levels of your cards to ensure sustainability in prolonged battles.
  • Disable Key Cards: To preserve essential cards for other modes, consider disabling them from Survival Mode participation.
  • Engage With The Community: Leverage insights from experienced players to refine strategies and enhance performance.
  • Delay Your Participation: Join later and hope that the enemies are already weakened.

All the cards in a player’s collection will automatically be flagged for participation. However, this flag has no impact on transferability or utility if the player chooses not to engage in Survival Mode. Players who prefer to opt out entirely can do so without any restrictions.

For those who wish to unflag their entire collection, a "Disable all cards from Survival Mode" button will be available on the items page. Additionally, players can fine-tune their selections using filters, allowing them to flag or unflag specific cards as needed. This gives full control over which cards are available for Survival Mode while ensuring that participation remains completely optional.

Did I followed my own advices? Yes, I went strong into the battles with few hours before the end of the season! Did it worked? I managed to link four wins in a row, and my hope was restored. Unfortunately, I didn't had more time so ... don't delay the participation until the dying minutes!

My initial foray into Survival Mode was a harsh lesson. I suffered significant losses, depleting key cards and summoners within a few matches. This experience underscored the importance of strategic planning and adaptability.

What did I learned? The Survival Mode offers a challenging yet rewarding experience, pushing players to adapt and evolve their strategies. Embrace the challenge, refine your tactics, and strive for dominance in this unforgiving arena.

Played eighteen matches and won six of them, and a 33% win ratio is not that bad! There's more to come, as I am now licking my wounds and reconsidering my life choices. Survival Mode is like staking, but with blood, sweat, and cards!

Let me entertain you with one of my wins, one with dragons and fire wielders. The mana cap was high, and I went for Nidhoggr as my summoners... adding some deadly powers to my minions.

The strategy was to spread the damage, using all possible types of attacks, maximizing the destruction with Blast. The Chaos Evoker didn't needed this boost, and Hidhoggr's gift was given to the units with the higher stats.

Nidhoggr: -1 Armor & -1 Health to enemies, Blast & Deathblow to 3 allies

Forgotten One: Melee with Immunity

Twilight Basilisk: Melee with Reach

Night Reaper: Caster with Flying and Wingbreak

Chaos Evoker: Caster with Blast

Flamesmith: Ranged with Shatter

It started with a devastating fury, as the Dumake Orc and the Costal Sentry didn't make it past the first round. The Gobson Bomber and the Riverboat Captain followed shortly, while the Venari Spellsmith was lethally injured. However, the Forgotten One was dragged upon his grave by the enemies... but he will not be forgotten!

The Night Reaper's magic delivered the deadly blow to the puny Venari, ignoring his freshly repaired armour. The Deathblow season opened when the Swap Spitter was the last one standing, but there was no need for double damage! See the full battle here!
