The Splinterlands Conclave Arcana chase is on. The seals are breaking, chaos is spilling in, and arcane power surges through every pack. It's time for a self-assessment, to see if I should be concerned I spread too much during the pre-sale!
Pack opening isn’t just a drop...it’s a summoning. As the portal opens, ancient forces emerge, twisted by shadow and fuelled by magic. The cards crackle with power. The gifts are real. And the chase has begun.
The Splinterlands are alive with arcane energy, and Conclave Arcana is more than just a set... it’s the spark of a chaotic new chapter. Every pack is a plunge into the unknown, where magic warps reality and every pull feels like a relic from a forgotten realm.
I dove headfirst into the presale with 510 packs and came out with a haul! The Arcane Skinwalker came with 49 normal promo cards and, 2 gold foils, but the ultimate prize was Gramel the Hunger! No regrets, just arcane-fuelled FOMO well spent.
These aren't just cards.. they are echoes from the abyss. Gramel the Hunger and the Arcane Skinwalker are warnings wrapped in power, spoilers of what’s to come, and once seen… they cannot be unseen!
Each card from Conclave Arcana feels like a whisper from beyond! A bit of madness and a shard of untamed magic, sealed in ink and foil, but yet always on the edge of breaking free.
The Conclave has stirred. The Arcana has awakened. And the Chase? The Chase became something more… a pull into the unknown, where every pack opened felt like drawing from the void. But 510 packs? Wasn't that a bit too much?
I flexed my degen muscles to get those packs, and with each one I gained 4,000 presale points! I wasn’t a whale! I was a shadow chasing giants! I carved my place in the arcane storm. Landing at rank 190 earned me more than points... it earned me The Mystic title.
And it all began with a single pack... but the journey is far from over. It’s a marathon, not a sprint. Slow and steady wins the race. Dived deep into the pockets, and managed to go crazy on the presale.
Early birds don’t just get the cards! They get exclusive airdrops and presale leaderboard rewards! The focus will be on Conflicts, and hopefully more bounties that will add up towards my ROI! That's my goal.. return of investments!
Nine more cards will rain down over time through the Conflicts system, keeping things spicy. Six of them are Legendary archons crafted by the twisted genius of the community itself. It's almost time to summon destiny. My War Wagons are waiting for new journeys!
I've got another little bonus by spending DEC on packs! I max earned the chances and added 8 more War Wagons to my current caravan of rolling machines. The more I can deploy... the greater the contribution to the cause!
This is how I will achieve ROI... through conflicts! You've probably done the maths, and you know that 510 packs cost me $1560... so that's what I will be chasing to earn through battles and raffles! Until then... I will enjoy the new bloodlines synergies!
If you're focusing on fury on the battlefield... you like orcs! I am the catalyst, the orcs are the weapon... and the Splinterlands will watch as my army will conquer kingdoms! Say hello to Gorgug The Endless!
To the Grimward of Grazg Batul, warriors either fall or fight forever... and Gorgug the Endless is the latter. Both shaman and warrior, he can channels the strength of his ancestors to stand firm as the Grimward face overwhelming odds.
While storms rage and tides rise, Gorgug remains unshaken. The Conclave Arcana believes power is taken but Gorgug knows it's earned. When the battle ends and carrion birds circle... it won’t be the Conclave left standing!
Orcs are fierce, melee-driven warriors, typically tied to the Earth Splinter but sometimes found in neutral roles. Built for brute-force tactics, they shine in frontline brawls and aggressive lineups. But sometimes, even raw power must adapt.
In one battle, Gorgug the Endless led my orc horde to victory—not with fists, but with cunning. With Keep the Distance and Counterspell as battle rules, melee was off the table, forcing a shift to ranged units. Thanks to the synergy of Bloodline Dominion and the might of the Archon, Gorgug held his ground and proved that even an orc can win from afar when the arcane aligns.
Gorgug the Endless: Archon with -1 Ranged Attack and Bloodline
Djinn Oshannus: Caster with Void
Warborn Shaman: Caster Orc
Steppe Stalker: Ranged Orc with Close Range
Grimward Ruinshot: Ranged Orc
Naga Windmaster: Ranged with Headwinds
Razorhound: Ranged with Strengthen
Gorgug was the right orc for the job, with his ability to reduce ranged attacks and giving enrage to his bloodline! I create a strong synergy, with both the archon and the Naga Windmaster reducing the ranged power of the enemy! The combo dropped the the attack of the Lava Launcher and Contess Sinash to only one power!
Casters in the team with Counterspell? Why not? Djinn Oshannus will be ok as he has Void, and the Warborn Shaman was chosen because... it's an orc and has Void Armor! This will delay few rounds of self inflicted harm!
The first round went on without anything memorable, as the first kill was done half-way through the second act! The Warbon Shaman delivered the deadly shot, and Iidri Fyre answered back with Redemption! One damage delt to all my units but no drama!
Ash Mirage started strong in the tank role, but even its infernal might couldn’t stand up to the orcs’ rage. Lava Launcher was next, but without solid support, it quickly crumbled. My team was still fully intact, with Djinn Oshannus leading the charge.
Round four turned the tide. The Pyromancer dropped two of my units in a single blast—Naga Windmaster and Razorhound both fell. The enemy gained +1 ranged damage, and my units took a -1 health hit. Things got tense.
In a wild turn, Warborn Shaman took out the Lava Launcher, only to be instantly countered. It was down to a 3v3, but I had faith in my orcs. Oshannus ended the Pyromancer’s run with a crushing wave, then swept away the Clockwork Aide, leaving Countess Sinash alone and helpless.
Orcs shine when built around their brute strength and survivability. Buff them right—or find the perfect counter—and you'll rule the battlefield. Want to see it in action? See the full battle here!
