Splinterlands game experience as a newbie

Hello Hivers, Since I am still new to the Hive ecosystem, I've been trying to surf the different active communities and today I decided to try out the Splinterlands play-to-earn collectible card game which @citimillz told me about some days ago. When I first logged in and opened the Frontier League section.

I saw the daily streak box which I tapped on and was told you spin a wheel, that was how I spinned the wheel and got rewarded with a battle challenge and 200 SPARKS. I am being told the SPARKS can be used to shop some items when I have accumulated more

I’m still trying to understand the game
So l can be winning battles.
Hoping to do better because citimillz has promised to guide me through as soon as possible. I’m learning to place my cards well and master the game strategy so l can win battles any time.

The game seem interesting and fun to me reason why l’m putting my best to understand it better. Guess this is my first ever web3 game I’ve played.
I will still be playing the game so l can master my craft so well.

When I’m back from Church I’ll try playing some more battles to see how to get a better understanding of the game. Another thing I noticed is that there is another league aside the frontier league called the modern league but I think that one is a higher league compared to the frontier league.

So you play as a Summoner who leads a team of monster cards into automated one-on-one battles. The objective is to outsmart your opponent by strategically building a lineup that fits the match's Mana cap and ruleset.

Account Setup & The Basics
Free-to-Play vs. Paid: You can start playing for free, but Free-to-Play accounts have limitations (e.g., cannot earn real-world crypto/tokens). To unlock the full Play-to-Earn experience and competitive formats, you must purchase the Spellbook.
The Elements: Cards belong to specific factions (Splinters): Fire, Water, Earth, Life, Death, Dragon, and Neutral.

Understanding Card Types
Summoners: Your team commander. The Summoner dictates which monster elements you can use and often provides stat buffs or debuffs to your team.

Monsters: The units that fight. They deal melee, ranged, or magic damage.

Melee: Must generally be placed in the first position (Tank) to attack, unless they have the Reach ability.

Ranged: Cannot attack from the first position; must be placed in the backline.

Magic: Can attack from any position and bypasses the enemy's armor directly.3. How to Play a MatchEvery battle is an "auto-battler," meaning you set your team and watch the simulation play out automatically.

Analyze the Rules: The game will display a Mana Cap (the maximum total cost of the cards you can use), active Elements, and special combat rules.

Select your Summoner: Choose a Summoner that aligns with the allowed elements and rules.

Select your Monsters: Pick monsters to fill your team, making sure to keep their positions in mind (Melee in front, Ranged in back).Fight! Click the "Battle" button to watch the AI-controlled fight. If your monsters defeat the opponent's team, you win the match and earn trophies and rewards.
