I miss the era when Windows was really trying to make XP a media center OS.

        Yeah, I think XP Media Center was only around from like 2005-2009 and even then you had to buy hardware that came with it to get it. Today, you can use something like Plex or Kodi to accomplish the same sort of stuff and more.
