Normally, I would install a Linux variant but my main goal was to get the video capture card working and I wasn't sure I could do that with this seemingly obscure card (though I still haven't tried it). It was hard enough with Windows 7.
Yeah I get it, that would be at least close to impossible, and a waste of time...
Soon I'll be on the road for real, after 2020 hit I've aimed everything at mobility, but if I had the house I lost then (and a reliable home country) I would have a whole lab running on things like QubesOS hehe!
Once I get going I won't even have much to hide, but of course I abhor and totally reject all surveillance by the West, especially hardware backdoors!
Might get an old Thinkpad X200, I don't feel like sinking hours on end into learning how to flash Coreboot... Will definitely buy something like that if I get the means, we'll see...
