@forkyishere You're right, the only way to do it would be to completely eliminate the rewards of everyone voted by the Brofi account, which is impossible and unsustainable. It would end up affecting hundreds of innocent people, and in the long run, it would only harm the ecosystem itself.
The Brofi account is connected to a curation trail; it doesn't vote manually—at least in the case of the community we're talking about. It's quite possible that Mr. Ray doesn't even know he left that account linked to a Rising Star trail.
But anyway, everyone is free to vote as they wish, though there are always consequences—good or bad. Mass voting against users who have nothing to do with a dispute between investors is harmful to the ecosystem.
Imagine if Mr. Hurtlocker @hurtlocker manages to power up enough to completely eliminate users' earnings just because Brofi voted for them.
What would happen? That would damage all the curation projects where Brofi's account is connected. Within weeks, there would be chaos in the communities and possibly people leaving Hive out of frustration.
The Rising Star community doesn't deserve this. I also fight abuse, and I've done so massively with hundreds of reports per month to Hivewatchers, but I've always done it—and will continue to do it—with a flexible mindset. I prefer to give a warning before pulling the trigger.
Good luck to everyone, and good luck to Mr. Hurtlocker @hurt-locker with his project. If he knows how to use it, it could be a great help to the ecosystem. He could even create a website where people can send reports of abuse or similar issues.
But he must avoid becoming the abuser himself.
